Alunan resort is a somewhat pricey resort. I paid around RM600 a night. It is a cut above, but it's not quite luxury territory.
Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation, and in this video, I'll share my thoughts on:
1. How to get to Perhentian islands from Kuala Lumpur
2. My review of the Alunan resort from a perspective of a couple with no kids
For a 4 day, 3-night stay, we paid a total of RM 3,600 all-in for our vacation which is pretty pricey for Malaysian standards, but I think it's worth it for a special occasion.
Pros:
• Private area
• Superb staff service
• Somewhat luxury feel
• Stunning views
Cons:
• Pricey
• Food choices & quality is OK, but could be better
• No choices for food except for hotel restaurant
