What I never understood about that is Tim Drake was Robin by then. Or at least Arkham Knight made it so. City made it seem like Tim was new and yet we see him alongside Batgirl in the Knight DLC. This clearly cannot work because Barbara is already Oracle by Asylum and Joker used pictures of Tim to mess with Jason. I imagine Joker saying this is because Rocksteady didn't know what was going to happen in future installments. It would have made so much more sense for the Robin in Batgirl's DLC to be Jason Todd. From a storytelling perspective, at least. I think it would work if Jason and Barbara get picked off by Joker after foiling his plan so Tim Drake is hastily recruited to help Batman. It would even work if Tim was brought along to help find Jason and wore the costume only to keep up appearances. Joker could then weaponise photographs of the two to make Jason feel as though he'd been replaced. The lack of explanation within Batman Arkham Knight makes Bruce Wayne come off as very callous and would almost make Jason right. The only problem is Jason Todd is responsible for killing innocent people before becoming a careless vigilante. Sorry for the rant. I just believe the story was severely lacking.

Eddie G-D Great insight ! I think what makes it a bit fun is to creatively fill in the plot holes and try to make sense of some of them. But your right they should’ve fleshed out some of these details in the DLC which should’ve been Jason Todd compared to Tim Drake. Which would’ve tied to the narrative arc Knight was trying to tell in the first place.

You're theory would be sound if it weren't for one thing, Arkham Knight creators confirmed that Jason Todd wasn't revived by a Lazarus pit like in the games but in actuality, Joker put a bullet proof best under Jason's Robin suit faking his death and then tortured Jason for the following year until he broke out in the events of Arkham Asylum which is why the wheel chair was still moving, Bruce and Jason never interacted in the game because as said, he was brainwashed into thinking Bruce was his enemy. In the arkhamverse he never trained with Räs Al Ghul nor did he with Bane, he trained alone until he gained power, obtaining his own army (Arkham Knight's Militia) and then forged a partner ship with Scarecrow in which then, the events of Arkham Knight took place

Jason never died in the Arkham series. When he got shot by the Joker in the footage that he sent to Batman, he put a bulletproof vest onto him. Joker later let Jason go after he completely turned him against Bruce during the torture.

you had it correct until you tried to merge the red hood and the arkham knight storyline, when jason was revived taliah is the one who takes care of him and taliah is the one who puts him in the pit to begin with. in the arkham knight story jason goes looking for joker and is tortured but never blown up he was shot in his armor and the bug shot made it look real in the video. he was then tortured once more into becoming the arkham knight. In this storyline jason never dies and he never hates batman for leaving the joker alive. no he hates batman for not rescuing him and replacing him when batman shows that every robin is replaceable. Thats why he wants to kill Bruce so badly. You gotta remember the Arkham series is a universe of its own

Yes Jason todd escaped from Arkham asylum in the end of the game. Officer Boles let the joker torture Jason and gave Joker access to the Abounded wing in Arkham. But I remember in the comic that the abounded wing was outside the Asylum

As Jason watched a mother cry and attempt to put her son back together, he noticed the blood trail and followed it to the forgotten sanatorium of Arkham Asylum and turned off all his communications and equipment in order to ensure that Batman did not track him and attempt to prevent Joker's death. When Jason entered the wing, intent on killing Joker once and for all, this played directly into Joker's hand, who knocked out Jason with a crowbar, knocking out several teeth and breaking his ankle in the process, and abducted and entrapped him within the wing to torture him over the course of a year. The forgotten halls of the asylum served as the perfect grounds to torture and humiliate Jason as, even when he was eventually caught and locked up once again, Joker had access to the wing thanks to several guards on his payroll, and Batman never suspected that Jason was just below the surface of the fully functional asylum.

I've always liked Arkham Knight's implication that Joker had kidnapped and then tortured Jason for an entire year. It would have truly been Bruce's biggest failure in the Joker's eyes. This all makes so much sense and makes me love the Arkham games more every time I come across stuff like this I’ve also never noticed Ras Al Ghuls body being gone at the end of asylum and that honestly just sends me chills but I love that it does the atmosphere is perfect (at least in the first two games for the most, Arkham origins is too uplifting with its holiday theme and knight doesn’t carry as much subtlety in my opinion but I still enjoy them a lot).

This is a great theory. In the Arkham Genesis comics Jason survives the gunshot that joker endures in the tape recording sent to batman. The aftermath shows harley quinn removing the bullet with Jason just barely surviving. Also, the abandon wing of Arkham were Jason was held is located very far beneath the Asylum which explains why Batman wasn't able to hear him if he was present in Arkham. This comic fills the gap and plot holes to avoid confusion of the whereabouts of Jason with his time with Joker.

I don’t think there’s a connection between Jason’s altered voice as the Knight and the the voice Batman hears in his Scarecrow nightmare because the writers more than likely hadn’t thought that far ahead and it’s kind of a minute detail anyway. Also, if you read the Gotham City Story about Jason in Arkham Knight, he eventually escapes from the Asylum on his own and in the comic, it shows Joker having emergency surgery performed on Jason after he shot him. Jason was never actually dead so he was never put into a Lazarus Pit in the Arkhamverse. But the other stuff about him being held in Amadeus Arkham’s old cell next to Dr. Young’s office is pretty insightful and I can appreciate that.

Could be Ras anyways that did the whole thing, cause if you didnt kill the leader you would be counted as a failure. We dont know if Ras is the founder or not, but what we DO know is he has a daughter that is supposed to marry the next head of the league, so in some time Ras had to have a lover of some kind that produced Talia. So why would Jason try the Demons challenge and not kill Ras, THATS makes even less sense. Talia is aware of the possible outcome, and has feelings for Bruce thats why she wishes for Bruce to be sure of what he does and thats why she tries to stop him half assed, cause shes the one that ends up with the short end of the stick no matter the outcome. Whats interesting in the entire context is that night in Metropolis, how long was that? cause that resulted in Damian Wayne and to me she doesnt look like shes been pregnant at all, or is it that Damian in this universe doesnt exist? If he does and its something im not seeing here, is then Jason aware that he might be chasing Bruces Milf?

They made comics saying Jason escaped during the night of AA and I personally believe the wheelchair is just haunted and Jason’s cell was in the penitentiary because of the red hood and Batman drawings. But that could very well be Joker’s cell as well.

That actually makes perfect sense, although I remember it was revealed somewhere that Jason was heavily injured and unconscious after being shot and after Joker sent Batman the video of Jason ‘dying’ he tortured him some more. But even if he wasn’t dead he’d have been seriously injured and tormented, so it only makes sense that Ra’s Al Ghul might have taken him during the events of Asylum. How cool but creepy would it be, if this is true but in the Arkham Asylum game they added like an ambience of Jason screaming in the distance while you were playing the game and his screams echoed through the Asylum as you were playing, that could give some hint that Jason was there the entire time but Batman never thought those screams were coming from Jason but the lunatics. Nah I think the impression is that Jason died years prior to Asylum and after Origins. By the time Arkham starts it’s stated that Waynetech have refurbished the place and went through a lot of updates. Joker gets caught after killing Jason just like one of his other many crimes that fade into the ether. Jason actually escaped during the events of Arkham Asylum, and Joker hired Deathstroke to prevent him from leaving the island, but Jason persuaded Slade to help him escape and he’ll pay him more money than Joker promised. They took a helicopter to Wayne tower and Jason broke in one of Bruce’s bank accounts to send the money to Slade. Then Tim showed up to stop him but they got away. Jason was wearing Slade’s mask so Tim couldn’t recognize him.

Well there was a abandoned room that you can access in Arkham asylum, it was a door just before you went into the room to fight Bane. But the door paired to be locked and you could not access it. no matter how far you got in the game even after you beat it. It was underneath the medical units elevators in the basements

You got a few things right but: 1.) Jason never died in this universe. He eventually escaped with the help of Deathstroke who was hired to watch Jason and make sure he doesn't escape. 2.) Where Jason was imprisoned was labeled as an "abandoned wing" of Arkham and he's kept in a small room with two holding cells. I guess this could also be considered a wing but for those in therapy? 3.) How would no one, a guard or a janitor, discover Jason after all that time? The only officer who could've known was Boles who was crooked but is also dead now. You can say that he kept people from coming near and finding him but Boles couldn't be guarding the area the whole time. 4.) I don't think Harley knew about this but I could be wrong. Also, how could Joker be allowed to enter Jason's cell without being discovered? Someone like a guard or even the security cameras could've spotted Joker long ago. 5.) Where did Joker exactly hide Jason during Asylum? I think he escaped after Joker's takeover but before Batman came to the mansion.

He was held in Amadeus Arkham’s cell near the west wing of the Arkham mansion. In the north corridor to be precise. I believe that is the “abandoned wing” if you go there, it looks pretty cut off and abandoned. You can only get in there through a vent. The writing on the wall is the same as Arkham night plus the beetle. Perhaps the wheel is still spinning because Jason manages to escape the night joker takes over the asylum. That is my theory.

Knowing that he has a disease Tim was recruited long time ago. Also when did ra’s have time for Jason. Once again when he got out of the asylum he had to plan the whole arkham city thing with hugo strange and the lazarus pit is situated under the wonder tower, so he had to move it. The time he did all of that and be injured (by looking at his face in arkham city) he didn’t got time at all for jason, because there was just one year between the two events. Also to find out so many drones and to recruit so many assassins like deathstroke to train so many men and to plan the perfect moment to attack gotham, it took more than events between asylum and knight. I like the theory and the fact that there kinda are references to jason, but he wasn’t at the same time with batman in the asylum.

Not sure this makes any sense. Ra's body dissapearing yes, as he can't really die and remember the Arkham universe is not supposed to be linked to the DC universe as the comics. I think the circles on the floor next to them is just to represent that it happened at the Arkham asylum (it also gives you a hint it was Amadeus who left the encrypted messages 'The spirit of Arkham'). Jason was never held at Amadeus Arkham cell (the chair on his cell is supposed to be his and not Jason's) you also find more chairs in other rooms.
