Sting walked to four generations of wrestlers in order from oldest to youngest: Arn to Dustin to Cody to Darby.
@chrisscott20094 жыл бұрын
Oh good point...I also like how Darby was the only one who didn't show any fear...Arn shook his head and look worried, Dustin and Cody were in the corners almost cowering but Darby stood up and stared right back. This segment was great, man.

@@chrisscott2009 also it made sense. Arn has seen first hand what sting is capable of so was shocked. Dustin and Cody saw a bit and watched the legend grow thus fearing him and Darby played the good role of the young guy over his head not scared because he is a foolish young kid.

Sting terrifies Arn so Arn dips. Then the Monday Night Wars show down. Sting towers over Dustin who also looks afraid because WCW was kicking WWFs backside back when Sting and Dustin worked for their respective companies. So it’s representing the towering WCW giant who’s whipping the poor broken WWF during the Attitude era. Sting crouch’s down to Cody because Cody loved Sting as a little kid and thats how you would interact with a child, down to their level. Then he stand toe to toe with Darby, representing the new era and Darby’s fearlessness to stand up to Sting. Sting checks Darby’s face paint as Sting also paints his face. Darby stands defiantly nose to nose with Sting and Sting then backs away but keeps his eyes locked on Darby for some time, he even has another look at him sizing him up before leaving the ring. This whole thing was a test. Darby passed.

It's funny because he doesn't end up fighting Darby, but rather befriending him and watching his back. Sting looking him eye to eye, nose to nose( whatever you wanna call it) was him looking into Darby's soul to see what kind of fire he has in him, he sees a lot of himself in Darby , so he respects him, and thus wants to stand side by side with him rather then across from him.

When a man's heart is full of deceit, it burns up, dies, and a dark shadow falls over his soul. From the ashes of a once great man has risen a curse. A wrong that must be righted. We look to the skies for a vindicator. Someone to strike fear into the black hearts of the same men who created him. The battle between good and evil has begun. Against an army of shadows comes a dark warrior. The purveyor of good with the voice of silence and a mission of justice. This is Sting.
