Sorry I was late getting to this reaction. 😲🤯 I wasn't expecting to hear my name being shouted out. 😂 Really appreciate it. Funny coincidence, how you came about discovering this song. Those stairs sounded tough. I wouldn't even be able to do it without the gear. I'd probably have to let gravity take over on my way down. 😂 Side note: My little brother tested positive 6 days ago, ironically on 9/11. So I've been trapped in the house with him since. 😆 Not fun. 🤞🏼Keeping my fingers crossed with disinfectant in hopes that I don't catch it. Lol _My 9/11 Experience:_ I remember that day very vividly. I was a 9 year old in the 4th grade, and on the bus riding to school. I remember the exact spot on the dirt road where I was when I first heard the radio hosts on our local 106.9fm radio station break the news of the first plane, basically saying, "A plane crashed into one of the World Trade Centers. It wasn't like a little bush plane. It was like a full sized 747." They continued to briefly talk about it like it was probably an accident. I spent a moment imagining a bush plane crashing into the side of a skyscraper. Then quickly forgot about it and continued to just stare out the bus window. When I got to my small rural school, our substitute teacher kept returning to the class to tell out homeroom teacher the events as they happened. I remember her coming to the door and telling our teacher about the second plane, and returning again crying, telling our teacher about the people jumping from the buildings, and again when the towers fell.. I couldn't fully grasp it, since I had no idea what the World Trade Center was. I just had to go off of my imagination. While I was home later that night, I remember watching the news and seeing the live aerial shots of the smoldering rubble and search teams looking through it. I hear a lot of stories from other people saying their teachers let them watch it on TV in class. I didn't get to see it happen live. So it somewhat surprises me that I vividly remember the details of that day. Hard to explain how impactful a day like that was to someone who didn't experience it themselves. I hit everyone on a deep spiritual level that day, I guess you could say.

I love seeing younger people remember 9 11. My ex BF was a firefighter who went to recover in the aftermath.. he passed not long ago due to PTSD/suicide.. it was a brutal sad time for so many of them. Wishing you well in school, I just started for the first time at 50! Good luck! 🇺🇲

I watched this when it aired and I remember feeling stunned. This song is so beautiful. The lyrics were so perfect and really captured how people were feeling at the time. I had just put my kids on the school bus and I was watching good morning America and saw the coverage of the first tower and saw the 2nd plane live.

I remember this song when it came out. I was serving over seas when the attack hsppened. The people who I was serving with on that day and many days after really impressed me. That memory is so strong and reminds me of how the country was on 9-12-01. We all had changed, I wish that all of us would go back to the way we were on 9-12. 9-11 will be with those of us who were serving till we die, but more important is how WE all felt the next day and !any days, weeks and months after.

This song is definitely a deep one but I remember wakin up that mornin and turnin on my CB to hear all the ruckus about what had happened to the North Trade Center. I was headed towards Nashville on I-40 from the Memphis area. I won't lie about my feelin's. I kept an eye on the sky around in front of me for whatever else might happen before I could get home to my own family and children. It was an uneasy feelin to say the least for the next few days, weeks and months for me as well as many others I'm sure.

I'm not into country music, but Alan's song is beautiful. I had just turned 21 when the attacks happened, and was on my day off. I remember watching as the second plane hit and thinking this can't be happening. I literally thought it was the end of the world that day. I remember my mom calling me asking where I was, and her telling me to stay home.

You might not be reading the comments to this any more, but if you do read my comment, please know that there is at least one person that is wishing the best for you. You mentioned ROTC and I was instantly happy for you, filled with admiration for your commitment to making a better life for folks that you'll never know, and slightly nervous about what is in your future. My time was Vietnam and I'd just started my advanced training when the big build up began. Duty took me to a place that I'd never foreseen going to. You are now on a road that leads to "know not where". May you do well.

I love that you are discovering these classics. Alan Jackson is one of my favorite artists and performers. He sings relatable songs that have a tremendous emotional impact. Go down the Jackson rabbit hole and you will not be sorry. I also suggest you check out another great: George Straight... another one of my favorites. Best of wishes on your musical journey and best of wishes on your path in the military.

Alan is a great singer. He has done songs with all sorts of different emotional impacts. A few to get you started on Alan. Midnight in Montgomery (A tribute to one of the early country singers.) Remember When (sweet love song) Chattahoochee (up beat fun song) A great reaction. I love that songs are able to address the emotions of difficult stories and situations. A couple of other 9/11 with similar but different reactions would be Daryl Worley - Have You Forgotten Toby Keith - Courtesy Of The Red White and Blue.

Wow! I recall waking up that morning, but not if I was on vacation, or called in to work that day.....but watching the news and couldn't take my eyes off the screen of what I was seeing. I can't really say if I was in shock, or I just couldn't believe what I was watching happen, but I do know that it was a life altering experience. Sadness, sorrow, and despair were very much a part of my morning that day, but honestly I was numbed to the reality of the loss that day (the many, many souls lost that day). I just couldn't believe it. I was alive that day, I saw it happening (the 2nd plane crashing into the remaining tower), and yet I was alone, sitting on my couch safe and sound. It was a truly terrible day, I too am sorry for those who lost someone on that day, may their souls be in peaceful rest with the Creator! I loved your reaction Shay, very sensitive and endearing. Be Well! Be Blessed!

Amazing reaction my friend Shay!!....I have a big gift for you...You are the right person to make this reaction video and give us your opinion about this incredible singer...In 2017, the music world was shocked by the bursting onto the scene of a 22-year-old singer named Dimash Kudaibergen, who performed on the famous Chinese competition show for professional singers called “The Singer”... It was just it was necessary for this young man to make his first appearance, making a cover of one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse", to be considered from that moment on as the best singer in the entire planet....No one in the musical field had ever seen a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges above 7 octaves and several semitones, that is, all 88 keys of a digital piano, which reaches a little more than 7 octaves and as if that weren't enough, sing the more than 12 languages...Since then all kinds of experts (Vocal coachs, singers, musicians, analysts, singing teachers, youtubers, reactors, etc.) have dedicated themselves to reviewing their presentations to try to understand how someone can sing this way...The incredible thing is that that presentation in China was in 2017 but what Dimash has done in these 5 years is to further improve his wide vocal range, which is currently practically above of the 8 octaves... The Covid pandemic stopped his concerts worldwide, all with tickets sold in just seconds, via the internet, but at the same time it ended up catapulting him to the top of popularity worldwide...Anyway, since I think you are one of those reactors who have not yet met this impressive singer, here is the link of that presentation in China in 2017, with the song S.O.S. and I would like you to mention my name as the person who recommended him to you...You have to be prepared because your channel will explode with an avalanche of views, comments and new subscribers....I leave you one more recent video than the others, so it does not have the same number of views as the previous ones, which have millions of views, but it is a more complete video, with an intro, subtitles in several languages and with the improved quality of audio and sound....kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHW7ZHmeot6Bl8U

Any of us who were around remember exactly where we were. I was about your age in college. Looking back, what is more painful then that day is all the coming generations who don't remember life before it. The world changed in this country and it wasn't for the best. It was a time before mass surveillance, government fusion centers, the patriot act, two decades of war, NSA, invasion of banking and employment privacy....
