There's always the retirement option too. Don't think anyone wants him for 350k a week, and if he takes a paycut, it would be a blow to his ego. He's too weak in mentality to take that kind of hit. After he leaves Man Utd, no one will talk about him anymore. He will be old news. Even the English controlled media will stop talking about him. He was used as a marketing tool, and once he loses that value, which he will when he leaves Man Utd, he will be discarded in the waste-bin as those manufactured idols who are used up and dumped by their companies when they get old. Good players have long careers and are always in demand well into their 30s. They're humble and work hard and keep their heads down. I have so much respect for Troy Deeney. He is articulate and genuine.

The problem with Rashford is that he has used his off field PR to create a god like complex. You cant demand to be treated like a social activist god of and then behave unprofessionally in your day job. If you want to be a role model for kids then drinking in clubs after a loss and missing training is hypocritical. He plays well before contract deadlines, but otherwise he averages 10 goals a season. Gets played in his preferred position, gets paid what he wants, get PR backing. Yet all fans need to feel sorry for him because he isn’t smiling? Is it the clubs job to make sure Marcus is smiling and happy. He is paid to perform and his attitude stinks. The woke pandering from the “community” has fuelled this too. If Antony doesn’t perform he gets slated but when its Rashford - “he did a lot off the pitch and is one off our own, he has a lot on his mind”. Makes a mockery of those with genuine mental health issues.

Even if Rashford is scoring 6 goals instead of 30 and looks low on the pitch, it's his decision making on what to put out to the press and how to respond that is ill advised and shows signs of a human who is a little lost.
