There is another awesome youtube channel about travel to Pakistan name 'CollegeFree'. This Channel is run by Alexander whio is from Louisiana/Pennsylvania. It would be super cool to see a collaboration between the Jones family and Alexander family on your next visit to Pakistan.

@@WheretheJones Alexander left Pakistan in September 2019 after finishing his Rickshaw adventure. He zipped through the northern Pakistan and did not have chance to Venture out much. So he may be instersted in coming back to explore northern areas. He is still posting on Instagram though with handle #AlexanderVolberding. #Travellight is also coming back to Pakistan and she has amazing video editing skills. Think what could she have done to K-2 trekking vlogs.
@WheretheJones5 жыл бұрын
Cool but looks like he hasn't posted there in a month and half there either. Yah Travellight has also been taking a long break too. But she would never do the K2 trek. That is way too intense. Her friend Poppy was thinking about coming with us but it didn't work out in the end.

Wow, this’s an epic traveling from Skardu to Askole! Love those scary suspension bridges on Braldu river. Your camping site at Askole is absolutely beautiful. That raging torrent on the jeep track was really scary. If you would have filmed it from a drone, the aerial perspective would have been superbly amazing.
@WheretheJones5 жыл бұрын
First shot was a drone. Have to be sparring with drone shots as we are gone for weeks with no way to charge a drone battery. I will have more total drone footage throughout the videos. More than s as none else out there for sure.
@ArshadAli-ym9ne5 жыл бұрын
Where the Jones yeah, battery charging is a major issue on such long treks. I have such experiences in the Hindu Kush. Last September I had a 26000 mah Anker PowerBank and it charged my GoPro Hero 7 for almost twelve days on Tirich Mir base camp trek.
@WheretheJones5 жыл бұрын
Arshad Ali yah I had 6-30k banks with me but you can’t charge a drone batter with a power bank. Different voltage.
@HammadWaseem15 жыл бұрын
Oh my god. This is already too much adventure to digest. That jeep ride was crazy. Your jeep driver was very skillful, he nearly had no room for mistakes, small space, and crossing running water. These jeeps are really strong. I also noticed Waheed. When you were eating, he was making sure that the waiter brings everything to the lunch table. He is a very nice guy. If I ever go on such a trip. I will contact Waheed. Ronnie keep these videos coming. I love them. You people have real guts. It is not like ordinary Americans. Kids have become strong. Ammy is on some other level and no words for you mate. I have become your fan.
@WheretheJones5 жыл бұрын
Yes and it only get more intense too. This trip is just well...I’m really happy that I got so much in film. Yes Wahid is the man. You will see in later videos just how completely indispensable he was. There was a point in the trek where we just didn’t think we could go any further and he was there getting us going. Thanks for hanging with us.

I saw a few of your videos. This one propels me to my past memories of Reinhold Messner's 1979 K2 Expedition. I was his Liaison Officer. We in those days started our trek from a village after Shigar. From there on it was 11/12 days of the trek. Reinhold and Michel Dacher made the summit. We stayed for 2 months on the trip. It seems to be comparatively easier now. In 1978 I was earlier Reinhold's solo expedition to NANGA Parbat. He made the first-ever solo ascent of an 8000 m peak. His book Solo Nanga and also K2 book chronicles all detail. It was fun indeed. I see you guys enjoyed a lot. Good luck. Come again.
