A string ,a hook and a fresh caught grassshopper or fresh dug worm. Its all i ever needed. Started that when i was bout 3 . im 73. Lake Texoma Texas side!!!!!pretty much same thing for a nice trout too. Caught more this way than with rod reel and spoon. cheaper too. And yes i do hav full gear and boxes for both types of fishing. And im female. And a little gulf fishing too.

@@coloradopackratprepper Nice 😊 Hey that’s what’s awesome about fishing, you find what works best for ya and you build your confidence in it. Confidence is huge to have! I actually should have mentioned that as well, it is so important to believe and feel confident that what you’re throwing is going to get bit. 🤙🏽

Bass fishing! What a rabbit hole to go down 😂😂😂 great video for starters.

Hahaha thanks Rick 👊🏽😁 Jeez yeah it’s bad man. I had to really think about how to keep this as simple as possible. Lol I should have added some footage of all my rods and reels and the ridiculous amount of baits and other tackle I have with a disclaimer to be careful or you’ll end up like this! 😂😂😂😂

That is a great way to handle a huge topic !! Now you need to show us how to approach the water (new water) for the first time. Also, it was cool seeing your media rig. Was that a power mac powering the system ?

Thanks Air 👊🏽😊 Good idea! I will try and make that video soon and show exactly how to cast the spinning rod and stuff like that. How to figure out where to fish (without a boat and scope) haha maybe how to fish around other fishermen and so on. Be good to add to the beginner playlist. 🤙🏽 Haha and yeah it’s a Mac Studio. M2 Max, 32GB memory & 1TB storage. Just got it this past year, I had been running the channel off an old 13” MacBook Pro up until then lol and it could barely handle editing the ridiculous amount of huge 4k files. I was torn between getting it or a stronger MacBook Pro, but the studio is more powerful for the price and I don’t usually have to edit anywhere but here. It’s been a great setup so far. If I do need to edit on the go I can still get away with using the old laptop which I’d still like to upgrade at some point. I use 5TB external drives to keep all the footage on, they usually last about a year or so before I need a new one. 😁🤙🏽

Bro, love the reel cleaning and gear rundown videos, and I know it's hot here in So Cal, but you gotta get out for some surf, pier or marina fishing. It's running mid-70's to 80ish on the coast and these ocean fish fight like crazy. Think about it.

@@ClintTisher Thanks man! 👊🏽😊 That’s really funny you mentioned that we are looking to do a trip out to the beach and do some surf fishing very soon and maybe hit the marina up near Oxnard/Ventura. Not sure where to go exactly, but we really want to get out there. Love how much cooler it is on the coast this time of year. We hit the lake over here for some night fishing the other night and it was still 85-90 degrees in pitch black dark! 🥵😂

@@WhereWeWild that's really good news. I'm telling you if you latch on to a decent sized spotty or calico with your freshwater rigs you will be blown away. They fight like crazed maniacs. Just get out their and do it. Looking forward to your adventures. I'm getting started and digging it.

@ClintTisher Yeah I used to surf fish salt all the time on the east coast it was super fun, think it’s time to start running that game out here too. We absolutely love the beach. 😎🤙🏽 Just make sure to spray all that salt off your reels when you’re done! Haha sooooo bad for them. 🤦🏻♂️😂

I'm a beginner, and space is an issue. Is there a telescopic rod that you can recommend? Thanks
@WhereWeWild2 ай бұрын
@@kathleengilmore8238 Hmmm I’ve never tried a telescopic rod honestly, but just so you know a lot of these rods I’ve linked in the description come in 2 piece models so you can break them down when you aren’t using them which is great for saving space and traveling in smaller cars. I have a few of them. In fact, the one I held up Daiwa Aird X is a 2 piece. 🤙🏽
