2 most valuable things I’ve learned: 1) My grandma always say get you a man that likes you more than you like him. 2) I remember at like 19 or 20 I invited the guy I was dating to a family function and he never showed. I was calling and texting him and my dad told me “there ain’t never a reason for me to have to chase a man. If he wanted to be here he would. Men are chasers and my only job is to choose wisely.” I ain’t chased a man since.

The moral to her story is stop caring what men want and focus only on yourself. Love yourself and only date men that like you more than you like them. Stop being male identified and have your own identity. Being married to men and having his children is not a flex. Being happy, living your life on your terms, having the freedom to pursue your goals and dreams, and loving yourself totally is a definite flex.

I listened to that video 3 times, lol! Da'naias issues started way before Derrick came along. Her mother failed her. She needed so much extra care given her shyness, timidity and i partly feel shes on the spectrum. She was basically bait for this man. Men are hunters, he knew that she was broken enough to keep quiet and let him live his life. The whole debacle is absolutely insane. Another issue is black woman not dealing with trauma and throwing themselves into church. Thats a whole other issue.
@cashmereglow7549 Жыл бұрын
She was sexually assaulted before she married Derrick. But I see the fake sisterhood is putting most of the blame on a woman who was a trauma victim and heavily indoctrinated by religion from her family at a naive young age. Women who come from hyper religious families then being raped on top of that can damage the brain. Any type of trauma affects rational decision making skills. But most women only have smoke for Da'naia. While leaving Derrick Jaxn unscathed. I guarantee the stupid judgmental bishes judging her are *still* subscribed to Derricks channel. Oh wait, they *already* are. Cheating narcissistic men are always coddled. While their victims are shamed.
@deeniesmothers9310 Жыл бұрын
I agree, and I question the therapists (3), and none of her giving her any type of diagnosis, not even PTSD, but the girl had unaliving ideations, loosing weight like crazy, and possibly hallucinations (seeing her daughter being lifted up from the bed). Something had to be going on there, even a smidge of depression.

@@deeniesmothers9310 I also think this girl is a great pretender and also a manipulator. Ex. She would be in the closet trying to get derrick to feel sorry for her, coddle her. Jessie girl. You are right Da’Naia is an extremist. This is a trauma response that is common in ethnic communities. I am currently doing my PHD on this, but you’d be suprised how many “anointed” religious leaders had traumatic lives only to emerge reciting holy words in their entirety or being in tune with spiritual worlds. Im not saying it cant happen but theres a certain amount of delusion that comes out of severe mental pain that can give way to this also. This thinking removes deep accountability and allows people to use God to make sense of their pain, or spirits to make sense of other peoples actions. Im not saying God cant do you like he did Job, but sometimes you have to say to yourself naw I was naïve and that was what started this mess. As a people, we need to take heed and heal our wounds at the root cause, I hope Da’Naia can see shes is very close to abusing people the same way she was abused and take heed and heal. This is how the cycle starts. A broken soul who’s pain is labelled as purpose too quickly. They are then given the title of “leader” and start a cycle of abuse in the very place people came for healing!

Your self worth and attachment style are the main things that will dictate the type of relationship you will have. I was with Da'Naia with all the empathy and sympathy because the girl has been through a lot, but she lost me when she went 10 toes down on her interpretation of those bible verses. A lot of people in the comments were irritated with Laterras laughing, but I think he was trying to tell her she was wrong. Maybe he was afraid she would curse him too. I didn't like her arrogance at that point, and she has a very arrogant way about her when she is "spreading the gospel". It's great she's confident, but there's no humility or humbleness to her in that respect, and it's very off-putting.
@andreacharles6123 Жыл бұрын
I stopped listening right at that point because regardless of how she feels nobody lied. Her husband willingly left her unprotected and exposed to these attacks. And she knew this man wasn't shit before we did so that interpretation was trash, degree or no degree. Lost all empathy at that point.
@Yespls888 Жыл бұрын
People were also very arrogant with how they were coming at her. I honestly found it comical. I just don't think people like their own medicine at times. There's a time to be meek and there's a time to tell people to stfu...in Jesus name. 😂 Then again, if we like everything about a person...9 outta 10 they're not being truthful. So I'd rather get how someone REALLY feels, "right" or "wrong" than a water downed version of them
@Yespls888 Жыл бұрын
@@andreacharles6123 that's some pretty conditional empathy 😂... Seems like only the people that were attacking her to begin with would take offense. Sure, I thought she sounded crazy at first but I gotta admit, she had a point too.

Yup, she was talking all that crap and now wants sympathy from us. Sad she went through that but I do not pity her.
@smarti1144 Жыл бұрын
@@Yespls888 right. she was being tongue in cheek at that point. She was giving dry weird humor and that's why he was laughing. It's very interesting that because someone is Christian they can't really express anger or hurt. Now who she should have taken a page from was Tabitha Brown. Now she can give a sweet version of stfu and stop talking about me and mine. We're in the comment section and hopefully will never know what it feels like to be fodder for the blogs and KZbin content creators who don't know you but have so much to say. Like even white outlets had picked it up at some point. I don't necessarily agree with her interpretation but she did what many folks who have an amen corner online do: use Bible verses how they want.

"Her silence kept him around" aka We teach people how to treat us. When we continually allow people to mistreat us, we tell them that their behavior towards us is acceptable. It also reinforces a victim mindset by not acknowledging the role we often subconsciously play in relationships by giving others power to mistreat us. When we look at some of these naturally gorgeous celebrity women who feel the need to keep going to get outrageous cosmetic surgeries that greatly distort and eventually diminish their looks...all the while continuing to deal with dudes who aren't nearly as attractive (in looks or personality...and sometimes financially).. Tells you all you need to know. The mind is something else. Low self-esteem, low self-respect, massive insecurity will have folks out here doing and putting up with all KINDS of crazy, illogical things... Not to mention, you combine that with other parties willing and ready to take full advantage... Nasty but very common combination and recipe for disaster. 🥴😔

You hit a lot of key points Jesse. I watched her interview and even though I can empathize with her, but the fact that she needed three therapists makes me wonder whether she was trying to do whatever was necessary to keep Derrick in her life or was it really to save her sanity 🤷🏽♀️.The part in the interview where she talks about crying in her closet just so he can come find her and console her tells me that she knew how to manipulate him too, And if one thing didn’t work then she would try something else. She was in too deep with the toxicity. Hats off to her though for taking some steps into healing, but like you said you can’t use the word of God to curse people because your “husband” asked for a divorce 🤦🏽♀️
@reedkicker443 Жыл бұрын
No, the three therapists aren't the problem. It's most likely she didn't see the correct type. She needs to see someone who is trauma-informed, whereas most work using CBT which doesn't work for a lot of people, especially those with severe trauma. Also she is suffering for toxic Christianity she is really caught up in it.

It had me flabbergasted. Why cant people empathize with her without getting fooled. She is into very extremist christianity. I saw the videos of Derrick being some type of priest participating in knocking demons out of people when he's the biggest demon of them all. I will say the act of wanting to understand "Why Her" you will find yourself becoming an expert n the women you perceive to be better than you/what the man you loved chose. Solely placing that as a demon negates the nance of trauma and abuse that will cause you to see yourself as the problem, which for most people positions them to want to "fix" the issue. This is how gaslighting evolves to abuse.

I want a happy life and if I do have a husband, I want to raise my kids in a good home I’m not putting up with cheating. I can do bad all by myself. I could take myself out to dinner. OK I can give myself orgasms. I don’t want to deal with the bullshit. And I think too many women need to stop believing in social media height of what the fairytale image people want to betray.
