Yup. And wanna know the cherry on top as a fellow Everton fan this year? After everything this season..... They will probably come at us for another point deduction next season unless we sell Branthwaite to balance our books. I really want to cry just thinking about this. Does life get any more uncertain or miserable? All we have right now is our back line in order. And then they will turn around and change the rules for Chelsea and City to where they have to pay FINES. Oh, so now laws only apply to those who aren't filthy rich. Wonder how that will pan out? Yes, Promotion & Relegation is the very lifeblood of Football here in Europe. Take Luton Town. They were in the PL (Div 1) 1982 to 1993......by 2013, they had dropped down to 'non-league' (Div 5)....and then 10 years later, they were back in the PL (Div 1) - the ultimate Fall and Rise !!!

It is sad, BUT this time last year, all 3 promoted CLubs were staying up !! But more generally, we are now at a stage where I'd say Two of the 3 are very likely to go straight back down. As things are today, I'd put Ipswich as Favs to go down.....and whoever else is coming up through the POs.

I honestly feel for yous. I thought you’d do really well this season but the premier has been brutal and unforgiving. If you go down I think you’ll come straight back up and do ok in the prem next time and stay up. I think you should hold on to Kompany tho I genuinely think he’s a good manager he’s been very unlucky this season with Burnley.

The Forest appeal result should be known, hopefully before the Sheff U game. Points may be returned!! But in any event we need to beat Sheff U, who can cause problems going forward. My big concern is the failure to take home performance levels on the road, along with our inability to defend a dead ball. Just looking at the Man City game we (MGW let his man go) failed to defend a corner, and Haaland shimmied to make the half yard he needed, hitting the target instead of dragging wide as he somtimes does). But Chris Wood missed a couple of sitters. It's the story of our season, along with the VAR nonsense we and others have had to put up with. Chelsea may be on the beach before they visit, with players looking to the Euro's, and I expect Burnley to be gone before the last game (unless Forest completely implode). But well done to them on recent form. It vindicates Kompanys philosophy some, and may see an early return to the prem if they don't survive this time. Burnley have Newcastle and Spurs next 2 games - that's zero points IMO.....which would leave them with a MAX of 27 points. Luton have Everton West Ham & Fulham - which IMO will get them 4 points - so 29 points. WHich means my FOrest would need 3 points from games v Sheff U, Chelsea and then Burnley away. I think that we will get at least 3 points from those games but even just 3 would see us survive by GD. It will go to Game 38 for sure, but I just think that we will JUST do it. Whatever happens, Luton - NON-LEAGUE 10 years ago - have performed Miracles !
