Forget to mention the integrated foot steps. Those make a trailer look like a fancy dancer.

Very nice video ya gave a lot of information! I totally agree with the 14 play tires! We have a 42 ft 5 th wheel that had 10 ply at the end of second season blew a tire and took out the side of the camper!!!

Sweet trailer. Can't wait to see parrot head on the trailer when all finished.

Very nice! To me a well built trailer is a work of art even without the boat on it. I once bought a new boat and trailer - a bolted trailer. The suspension assemblies were on a plate u-bolted to the frame. One side wasn't torqued properly and shifted rearward. Made for a spooky "tail wags the dog" ride home. You could see it without measuring once the boat was off of it. FF to buying my 272, it was rack stored and never saw a trailer. I wanted one and knew what kind I didn't want. I had a fairly local custom trailer builder recommended and went with him. He even matched the rims to the ones on my truck!! (Sorry, had to throw that in...)

Great video. Boat trailers seem to be a very over looked item in boating especially for first time boat owners. Our baja has the orginal eagle trailer still with it. Luckily it's still in very good shape.

We had a steel, Eagle trailer under our 25 Outlaw and liked it very well.

I have a Nextrail under my 312 and cant wait to replace it. Manning or Phoenix are my choices. yours looks great.
@BarrowedTime3 жыл бұрын
Our old one was a NEXTRAIL. Such a pile. Phoenix makes a nice trailer. That friend of mine I was talking about ordered his for his Sunsation 34CCX. Its welded aluminum C channel with bolt on cross members.

Looks good. What's the weight difference between the two?
@BarrowedTime3 жыл бұрын
Not 100% sure. The new trailer title says 2950lbs. Its probably 500-750lbs heavier than the old one.

trailer looks real nice all clean and everything should hold up good i really like the aluminum trailers they should look good for years and are probably lot lighter to haul. wheels brakes and bearings pretty important for the long hau;ls ill check out that company see how uch a new one would be for my boat ty
@BarrowedTime2 жыл бұрын
I ordered it from Manning. I don't recommend them. I would go with Myco or Phoenix if I was to do it again. Evolution makes a nice trailer but they wouldn't answer emails or phone calls when we wanted to order.
@erichammill7782 жыл бұрын
@@BarrowedTime why wouldn't you order another Manning? I'm shopping for a trailer for my Donzi zx 38 and they are at the top of the list. Myco is twice the money and a year and a half out. It looks like Phoenix trailers are just bolt together I beam type
@BarrowedTime2 жыл бұрын
At the time we ordered there was only a couple thousand dollars difference between Myco and Manning. I chose Manning because they were a smaller manufacturer and I thought I would get better service and didn't want to give the "big guys" the money. HORRIBLE service, no communication, not willing to find another vendor for axles. 6 week build took 7 months. The Phoenix trailer is a welded c-channel frame with bolt on crossmembers. A friend of ours has one and it's pretty stout.
@erichillman56053 жыл бұрын
Did the manufacturer have any statements on the welds? My only aluminum experience was with large cattle trailers and I found after a while fatigue set in the welds would be things that had to be rewelded. Bolt together wasn't a option but I always wondered if bolt assembly would last longer.
@BarrowedTime3 жыл бұрын
Some friends of mine that haul boats mentioned the fatigue and cracking possibility. But I figure the number of miles I'll be pulling and the length of time I'll probably own it, that we shouldn't have any issues.

I though I heard in your Q&A you had the boat back on the trailer how is the fit?
@BarrowedTime3 жыл бұрын
It is on the trailer. It fits very nicely. A couple of the bunks need to be shimmed up to meet the boat, but it has much more support than the previous trailer so it's not really pressing.

When buying a new trailer things that are often overlooked are WHEEL BEARINGS there is no reason for anyone to have to grease the wheel bearings on their trailer they make SEALED WHEEL BEARINGS that are good for 300,000 miles , TRAILER TIRES check the DATES if they are over 3 years old you don’t want them also anything made in CHINA is JUNK , WARRANTY ISSUES some trailers such as COYOTE Trailers the WARRANTY is VOID if you use it in SALTWATER even thou the boat is made for saltwater ! LED lighting should be standard . Some trailer BUNKS are not PRESSURE TREATED wood . Just trying to help out with what I have found out !
