Irrespective of streak of low scores he got on some occasions, the fact that Lara even without not-outs was averaging over 50 across 200 plus innings and nearly 12k runs defines the kind of consistency he possessed. There might be people who'd comment that he'd be out cheaply and would compensate for it with a double or triple a few innings later, but hey what's a great batsmen who can't get big scores and Lara scored them against some of the greatest bowlers in the history of the game.

The logic used here does not hold. All the averages not including the non-out innings (but while including the runs scored in those innings) lead to incorrect numbers. If you have not made any effort to exclude the runs that were scored in each one of those not-out innings then results are completely wrong. One needs to do a lot of work to get to accurate results in this case. The publisher of this video took an easy way out, he included all the runs from all the innings which is easy and just subtracted the not-out innings from the total innings , the results will all always be incorrect. Simple Math.

Sachin's RPI without not-outs was 46.8, Gavaskar's was 47.5, Dravid's was 46.6 and Border's was 42.2 whilst people listed even without not-outs averaged over 50.

Bradman played against 1 team, England, and had friendly home umpires half of the time. That 99 average is a sham.

What a load of nonsense. He may not have been the nicest of men, but he averaged 178 over 5 tests against India and 201 in five tests against South Africa. His average in Aus was 98, and 102 in England.
