i think it is high time to give more weightage to multi format players. There are several examples of ATG players in one format really struggling or not up to the mark in other format. Yuvaraj Singh, Laxman, Bevan, Border, Jayawardene, Langer, Pujara, Rahane, and a lot other comes to mind. This shows that there is no guarantee that an ATG player who had played only 1 format would automatically have become ATG in other format too had he played the other format. Based on that, it is time to keep aside hearsay and hype and place some brilliant all rounders like Kallis, ,Pollock, Kapil ,Botham , etc over Sobers.
