One of my favourites is Cliff Richard. He was a good kind of rebel when he was young. Maybe Churchill was a bit judgmental and maybe jealous?

That gave me a laugh Neil, thank you. Fathers and their daughters, eh? Even a father as clever and canny a Sir Winston Churchill was not above being a little over protective. At least he was a big enough man to sit through the film and then to admit he had been wrong about Sir Cliff and the film. Perhaps this was an early example of “spin” and Sir Winston was used to “truth in reporting” and took the news items at face value. I have not heard very much about Sarah, so interesting to know she was an actress.

‘Spin’ has been around since before Goebels’ time Neil! Dear old Cliff was meek and mild by comparison with what was yet to come. I wonder what Sir Winston would have thought of the likes of The Rolling Stones?

Andrew Ray. Son of comedian Ted Ray of radio's Ray's a Laugh, with Kitty Bluett (were they married in real life?). The wonderful days of very entertaining radio sitcom. I believe there was another son? But can't recall his name? Robin? And what was the radio sitcom with the lovely George Cole? Was it A Life of Bliss? Can't recall who played his wife. I believe they had a dog called Psyche, voiced by Percy Edwards? Does anyone remember those times? It was a long time ago. E❤

Tides are caused by the gravitational pull of the Moon and the Sun. When the Sun, Earth and Moon are in a straight line (full moon and new moon) you get higher high tides and lower low tides, called Springs. Look up Neaps for your homework. There will be a test. 😂Lovely story about Sir Winston. What I liked was the fact he went to the cinema and watched the film. Lessons to be learned in both Montecito and Number 10 - do your homework before you judge!

🇭🇲🦘👋 ... and how wonderful to note that Sir Winston Churchill was not a "stick in the mud" at all, and in fact he agreed (if reluctantly) to attend the movie theatre with his daughter and agreed that Cliff Richard wasn't so bad after all. Again, the media making "a mountain out of a mole hill" for all the wrong reasons. I know that the 'late' Sir Winston Churchill had his faults (and don't we all) but as a father he appears to have used common sense and allow his daughter to prove her point. Even if he didn't understand or like the movie very much. He was just being a loving caring father, and if only for this, he has my tick of approval ✔ not that he (or his memory) needs it. THE THAMES: How lovely to see you by the Thames river again Neil, and "yes" how splendid it looks. You mentioned it being high tide and that 'some' might suggest that climate change is involved. I'd suggest NOT. As! The Thames continues through Essex and Kent where it finally joins the North Sea. So! Because the Thames connects to the North Sea, each day it is affected by 2 LOW tides and 2 HIGH tides. I didn't know this (of course) but I looked it up for you Neil, and for the chums. As you look up and find out so much for us; I thought that the least I could do was to look up the above. Fascinating, isn't it? 😉 🤗 "Thank you" so much Neil xx 👔⭐👋

@@NEILSEANSSHOWBIZ "Thank you" Neil, and "yes indeed" I too love it by the seaside. Any seaside. Especially having lived through my younger years by the seaside. On it 🚣♀️ and in it 🏊♀️ .. and happy times they were too. We still visit the seaside, but now live in rural Victoria. With one of my brothers (a surfer in his youth) 🏄♂️ never entering the surf and sea again, after seeing the movie "Jaws" ... I kid you not. With himself living in 'outback' NSW as far from the sea as possible. Yet! I still love it by the seaside, or by a riverside, watching the fish, birds, and wildlife enjoying nature at it's best while sharing it with we humans. "Take care" Neil.
