Advice: when on site - remove the extra twin beds so the girls get more space. Use one of the station rooms as storage rather than the caravan. Use the charity shops for small items rather than trying to unpack all your stuff. Dishes, glassware, etc can be had really cheaply and you don't have to sacrifice your good stuff unless you want to. Also, great place to buy clothes you'll reno in (and never want to keep afterwards). Onward and upwards!

Thanks for the advice, always appreciated! Taking the spare beds out is definitely the right idea… although that really just means they have more space to dump all their junk!

@@theoldstationrenovation can mean space for a desk and chair each and maybe a small set a draws to put clothes in that you want more accessible than above head height. I agree with Abigail about shopping at second hand/charity stores. They will spend more time in their room if it doesn't feel too crowded and small. I'm just glad you didn't get the last one you videoed as there seemed to be very little space between the beds in what would be the girls rooms.

I wish we had these type of homes in the US! Your designs are more functional and well appointed than what we have in the US. The closest thing to this would be a park model mobile home, which is built to the same standards as a camper (caravan here). They can look more trailer like or more house like. We have manufactured homes, but they are more to the same building standard as a regular house. I’ve lived in my camper (travel trailer) since Sept 2019. I am semi off-grid. Winters are very hard with 4 season weather. I clear my pipes up for the winter otherwise they freeze. You chose my favorite home! Love the layout and nice living room

What a great idea to get a caravan for living in while you renovate. When we built our house we lived in a caravan for several months until the downstairs was finished. We had a guest apartment downstairs so we moved into that until the house was completely finished. I like the advice about using things from the thrift store so you don’t need to unpack. We did that and just kept the bare minimum of things. It made it so easy to get things done. 😊

I so would have picked the one you chose. Main reason, it's not brown! Seriously though it's lovely and homely, with lots of storage. Being in a caravan for two weeks holiday is OK with the others but your choice really does offer a more long term option. When you first said where it was to go - in between the platforms - my initial thought was converted railway carriage but I guess they're hard to find, more expensive.
