Impressed to see the hard-work and commitment in restoring this old building and preserving as many of the original features as possible. Excited to see how things progress in 2025!

i would recommand from a design perspective to make the attachment connecting both buildings visually different. i would suggest wood slat walls or white plaster. that way both original buildings would be still recognizable otherwise you are creating a "new" building and considering you bought it for it's beauty, it's likely that you would regret that decision.

Can't believe you destroyed that greenhouse. 😮 You could just put it online, and I'm sure there would be many gardeners who would disassemble it properly and continue to use it for many more years.

You might have to put field cameras up there along the fence line somewhere and hide them in the brush see if you can catch him coming over the fence and getting into your yard

1:05:33 That is Steam coming out from the bottom of the Steam Locomotive. It is from the Blowdown Valve being opened to force out Sediment from the Steam Lines.

I think you were short changed, they should have kept going and cleared the lot. It's hardly something one would call a jungle. It's better described as overgrown weeds.😅

That metal support in the drawing is very similar to the metal light support on the wall were you was stood , if that's original I could have been made to match the canopy supports ,, Just an idea you would know more about the light , but great you found the plans 👍

I think you need to think about your timeline. With everything that needs to be done to the station, it would be a miracle if it can be made habitable in a couple of months.

I don’t take away that you worked hard on this project but it’s not a restoration. You completely gutted the inside and left only the outside walls in tact. Restoration is about preserving what you have so the integrity of its history is there for future generations.

I agree with everybody; get help. I am concerned with the mosquito population. Also, it might not have a very refreshing odor in the hot weather. You might even get help from the local government.

I love your home and what you’re doing with it! The plans are amazing and I’m completely in love with your garden. On the wood burning stove…. You need something fireproof both under it and behind it on the wall. Without this you run the risk of a burning your cabin down. I think you two are doing a wonderful job! 🐝🤗❤️

Here in the Ardennes village, the railway (1890-1950) is turned in to a bicycle path. All together it is 330km of former rr turned into (bicycle)paths. It is well used in the spring and summer. It is called Vennbahn (route). It is that you told that there is a former rr, otherwise i would have thought that is is a bridge made to cross a water. Here in the village one bridge head is still standing and i im to the south the 3 arcaded bridge is still there. And the very big rr bridge (1916, Prussian made for troops transports) is still there. Many arcades. At Neundorf, Belgium. Here they made a monument on the mini roundabout for the former rr.

In Victoria Australia, a lot of our stations are the original stations buildings and we even have vintage steam and diesel trains that run on the mainline thanks to multiple heritage railway groups!
