Hey MegaronKnives - EXCELLENT ANALYSIS AND REVIEW! I don't have a Chris Reeve knife yet, but I definitely want to get one in the future. Your video did a great job of comparing/contrasting many of the important and even subtle differences between these knives. This IS very helpful, because I'm still not sure if I should start with the Sebenza 31 or the Umnumzaan - you gave me a lot to consider. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I subscribed to your channel.😎👍

As mentioned before - I have got an CRK Large Inkosi (PJ) for about half a year now daily in my pocket. I recently came across the opportunity to buy a CRK Large Sebenza 31 with unique graphics and silver double thumb studs - still not sure about to get it or not as I really like the sturdyness of the Inkosi by now...

Love my small Sebenza 21. I have a ladder damascus with natural micarta inlays. It’s what I carry as my “gentleman’s knife.” It definitely feels small though. Looking to find a Zaan now to try something different! Maybe after that, CRK will have magnacut Sebenza available…
@megaronknives30323 жыл бұрын
That´s a really nice choice for a carry. The magnacut CRK will probably be really hard to get. Hopefully they make a bunch of them. Very interesting steel.

As someone who got a LG31 first and then inkosi, i MUCH prefer my inkosi. The ergos and pivot are a lot better for me personally. But whether you go sebenza or inkosi, i highly recommend the insingo blade. I got that on my inkosi and i find it more useful for daily tasks than the drop point my sevenza has

Definitely go with the small sebenza over the small inkosi. I have medium sized hands and the finger cutouts on the small inkosi were way too small for me.

Fortunatelly I have my Large Inkosi (PJ) for halft a year now and can agree, that the break in period takes quit a while. Thank you for the detailled review and information! Keep going! 🤘🏻🔪

Thank you for sharing your opinions. I had already been leaning towards a sebenza but what I am still on the fence about is inlay vs plain. And possibly damascus vs s35vn. Small side note, I'm not usually a tanto guy but the umnumzaan wears it well.

Small Inkosi for me. I’ve had both large and small Sebenza, small Inkosi, as well as a Zaan. I got a small Inkosi a few years ago, but sold it after a month, honestly, not because I thought it was too small, but forums and video reviews kinda talked me out of a knife I liked prior to watching the reviews, after I bought it. So what’s changed? I bought a new one a short while ago based on missing the one I sold a while back. So once the noise of other owners dissipated, I found myself wanting one again, proving I had outside influence. Now that I have one and carry and use it daily, I really enjoy it. But like you said, I also fall into the Techno 2 crowd, so it does make sense. I have larger knives, such as an XM-18 3.5 and a few Medfords, but as nice as they are, there is something to be said for a small Inkosi being as stout as it is, yet disappearing in your pocket. I find that the small Inkosi is enough for anything you might encounter, shy of camping/survival tasks, but in those moments, hopefully you have a fixed blade to compliment your folder, regardless of what it is. I do find the handle at the minimum limits of my medium/large glove size hands (I’m in between those sizes). I can fit all 4 fingers on the handle though. It’s really just a preference thing. I’ll give up size for carry comfort. I don’t find myself looking for more blade or handle. It’s personal preference though.

Metal conducts temp. I have neuropathy so metal is extra hot cold or bitey. Even a normally abled person can appreciate the extra grip and warmth of a micarta inlay not to mention the look.

I've been so back and forth on whether to get a Sebenza or not. For the money it should be sharp. Buck 110 in S30V is and the Para 2 "Crucarta" is razor sharp!
@megaronknives30322 жыл бұрын
Hmm well there are a lot of different kinds of sharp. CRK´s come with a polished convexed edge so they don´t fell as bity as a flat toothy edge from Buck or Spyderco. As you resharpen it, you can always change it to Flat edge, so i would not worry about that. They are great knives, just really expensive right now. Like everything.

the small-sized decision should have a huge caveat regarding blade shape: drop point? definitely sebenza. but insingo? the small inkosi is much better. it has more belly and is thinner behind the edge.

🙄😉 I'm a small or mid size knife guy... meistens.
@megaronknives30323 жыл бұрын
Hahaha. Ja vierstellig kann i mir vorstellen. Hahaha. Sanremu is King ;D Grüße Joe.

I have many high end flippers (rosie,rask,morpheus) that are really fun to flick. But they won’t flick for a long time if i use them in the environment i use my crk’s in. Crk’s are meant to be used anywhere! That’s what makes my umnumzaan the only knife i’d keep if i had to keep only one in my collection.

None of them, save your money it's a $100-150 knife with a massive internet hipster and brand name tax added. They're just not special knives and they're made with the shittiest, laziest type of lock possible. To be fair though nobody that buys these things is in any danger unless their hand looks like a sheet of printer paper.

@megaronknives3032 Жыл бұрын
I disagree, starts at them making longer lasting and better quality screws, a longer living lockbar, bigger longer lasting washers with cutouts, so you don´t need to oil as often and a hollow grind, so you get an overall longer lasting knife with superior built quality. And it´s kind of the original titanium, frame lock folder, so it´s a piece of knife history as well.
