Keep in mind, The subclass does matter (a little) as each has an exclusive perk that cannot be earned as another subclass ie the assault crusader has access to “rabble-slayer” , while the heavy gunner has access to another specific skill that the other subclasses cannot access, I think it’s called “exalted by murder”

Thanks for explaining this, was stuck as I wanted a Stealth Sniper, but the Infiltrator sub class for the Assassin doesn't have a sniper rifle, and the sniper sub class doesn't have a Stealth suit. Thought it was just a case of equipment, but makes sense each sub class has a unique perk, specialising in said playstyle.

Yes, Exalted by Murder is the Heavy Gunner subclass perk. It's nice.

If you just want to murder everything then go Crusader with the grenade launcher or chain gun. If you want to move around the map wicked fast take the Assassin Infiltrator. If you like randomness like playing a Goblin army then you want any Psyker because they do insane damage but have a chance of killing themselves. My personal fav is Crusader with the armor that grants the shoulder missile launchers. Such glorious death for the Imperium!

the sub-classes don't end up all the same. the game should really tell what the repercussions of the sub-classes are. i picked empyreanist, because i want to use fire. turns out that i'm locked out of the other starting perks. it really rubs me the wrong way 25hrs into the character. all psykers get the improved version of +damage at max heat but i never get access to movespeed on kill and +damage per psyker buff. makes me want to re-roll my character and that feels never good. i'd be very happy, if the devs changed that. just have every psyker unlock all perks at different levels. i'd even make the starting stats redistributable, so that only the start is affected but never the endgame.

I actually like to play the no-warpheat build but like you I chose Emp so for min-max switched to the way riskier max-warpheat build. Is really fun to run around like a headless chick trying to outrun warp anomalies.

It was announced two days ago we are getting a Warhammer 40k tv series in the near future. It will be centered around the Inquisitors and the MC will be Inquisitor Eisenhorn.

Seriously!? Eisenhorn is awesome, the only book character that beats him is Commisar Caiphas Cain, and thats only im not as fond of Ravenor and the transition between eisey and him. I like the sisters of battle as a concept except their lack of genetic enhancements. I never got that, it makes them not true female astartes, just skilled female warriors with power armor and a culture of imperial faith (which every imperial has). They are colorful and have a very good story in one of the books, but since the imperial guard takes women, they dont make alot of sense. Thats part of why i doubt theyll end up in the game, despite their closeness to the inquisition, and everyone asking, they arent unique enough. Unless they were to get some kind of "faith powers", i think that might even be canon, but they arent well fleshed out that ive seen

There isn't one unfortunately.. They do mention that one of the antagonists is alpha plus though, which just seems to be a scary way to say, "REALLY POWERFUL" in the lore since there's no real ramifications ya know?

I wish warhammer games would stop picking chaos as the enemy. No matter how much they try to make it feel dark and scary.. it's a video game and you will never be able to get even remotely close to a justified depiction of chaos. The Xenos that really lends itself to being the enemy in a game are orks. They don't need great AI, they don't need depictions of violence and horror that would make your game unsellable, they are just good, stupid fun, there's loads of them and they always charge in without a care for their losses. Orks are perfect in every way as an enemy. Plus you can depict them and actually stay true to the lore. While that's an impossibility with chaos.
