As a Bears fan, the more attractive job is the Patriots based on the divisions they are in. NFC North has 3 strong teams you have to fight for to get into the playoffs. In the AFC East, there's just Buffalo. And the ownership in New England is solid, unlike the Bears. Finally, the Patriots organization as a whole knows how to win. The Bears organization does not.

I think the Patriots team is further away talent-wise by about a year, but I 100% agree with your assessment. Kraft is infinitely better than McCaskey at running a team. That said, I think they take Vrabel and the Bears take BJ. I don't think BJ will go to the Jags

They also have more draft picks and 80 something mil in cap space. They have less holes to fill on the roster than the Patriots. Also while the division is tough, the NFC in general is easier as you still have Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, Herbert and Burrow in the AFC, how far are you really gonna get come playoff time.
@DanEstrada0215 күн бұрын
Cmon yall. The Krafts may still be in leadership, but that success came from Bill and Brady. Both have high cap space and both are historic franchises but it comes down to the current roster. Manti said it, you have blue chip defensive players (Jaylon Johnson, Sweat) you have your franchise QB that has a higher ceiling and offensive players that are more than serviceable (DJ, Rome, KA, Swift, Kmet) Sure you can restart in NE, but nothings gaurenteed in the NFL. I’m gonna go to the team that is the closest to competing and that’s Chicago.

NE has $130 million in CAP because their roster is bare as hell. You can spend $130 million this upcoming season but you'll get guys that never played with each other and will have to gel as a team. Bears have a QB/roster with high end talent, Draft picks, and $80 million in CAP space. The Bears just need a legitimate HC and staff, and an O-Line and a couple defensive pieces to contend in the NFC. Bears with all the chaos going on were a blocked field goal away from sweeping Green Bay, and took Minny to OT, and also gave the Lions a run for their money in a game in which their coaches dropped the ball. A Super Bowl win in NE is just meh, but a Super Bowl win in Chicago you become an instant legend! Plus hopefully a new killer indoor stadium will start to be built in 2025.

Pats have a more direct ownership. They are more attractive. Similar lockeroom situation. Both have promising young rookies, plenty of cap space and good positions in the opening draft. Pats need more talent overall than the Bears but each need help on both sides of the ball especially the oline. WRs are needed by the Pats though too. Neither job is particularly attractive: -With NE, you are competing for 2nd place for the next decade cuz Allen is in the Division -With the Bears, your likely ceiling for the next half decade is probably 3rd place considering your Division features 3 of the Best run organizations in the entire sport + GB and DET most their best players are quite young. CHI has the benefit that winning just a decent bit there makes you a hero. NE us probably the answer though since 2 of the other teams in the Division are disasters (NYJ, MIA) + Maye has looked better than Caleb
