Random question, then. Would the Ohio State cafeteria open for breakfast post workout for you guys? If not, then where did the team get the morning meals at?

In our facility we had an area where players could always go to get food - pretty much open whenever

Did OSU have a scout team? And is the scout team members on the football team or is it something different?
@clayraterman3 жыл бұрын
every football team has a scout team - that just means players who are practicing against the starting players, no there is nothing different about them

Hey man! I like the videos and would like to know what’s your experience with dual sport athletes? How real is it at the D1 level?
@clayraterman4 жыл бұрын
Very unlikely for D1 especially at a top school and if it is for Football...requires way too much attention and focus and training already, plus school. Not impossible though there is people who have done it, but typically it's a rare scenario and there are many exceptions made for them. We had a kid who was insanely fast who would go and run the 100m dash for indoor track and he played football, but he didn't ever really train for track he was just insanely fast so it wasn't a huge commitment. I also knew someone who wrestled and played football for a few months and that ended very quickly.

@@clayraterman thank you man! Basketball is my money maker in terms of proficiency and I thought of trying to do both in Juco but I do realize the reality of things!

Hey man what routine did you use to help prepare you most for the tryout? I’m on a hypertrophy/athleanX program for strength training, and just doing the drills I expect my school to use in the tryout occasionally. Any advice?

Playing d1, is there time for an internship over the summer or winter?
@clayraterman3 жыл бұрын
not full ones no - they do mini short like week long stints and things to pad your resume though

Since you guys walked on at OSU a powerhouse were smaller schools potentially offering scholarships if you transferred to their school?
@clayraterman4 жыл бұрын
Good question! Sometimes other schools with look into you if you enter the transfer portal, or give them some insight that you are interested. I've seen several walk on friends leave and go lower D1 and get a scholarship before and play / perform really well at those other schools. But again there's a whole transfer process and eligibility rules and all of that, so that shouldn't be the "plan" going into it by any means.

I got a question: I'm from Europe and played for the national team of Austria as a youth player before I torn my acl. I'm currently 19 and gotten back to football. Do you think it is possible for European players to come and play for a college football team?
@clayraterman4 жыл бұрын
Yeah others have done it I'm sure! Just gotta be enrolled in 12+ credit hours at a college to be able to play usually
