It depends on the marks of the students, athu ippo parayan pattoola. For eg. If a student gets 60 marks and he's ranked 1000 and if a student gets 61 then obviously this student will be ranked 999 (if he has more marks in Maths than students who got the same Mark 61) But it can also be that a student who got 51 mark will be ranked 1000 and if a student gets 51 then that student will be ranked 999. Last year I got 51 (if I remember correctly), ente rank 1200 ullil ayrnu. It depends on what the highest score is.

If you get CS in MEC, TKM, MACE it is better or else you can look for EC, If placement is your concern CS is better (above mentioned colleges) or else if you want that CET tag+ all rounder option CET EEE is a great option
