nothing , it’s just that Tongans don’t like some of the corrupt Chinese stores around the country

Because they come in and taking up majority of stores and businesses for themselves settling in Tonga. I heard a while back they tried to push in and build a Chinatown in Tonga and a lot of the locals were getting uncomfortable that they were making their way through the nation. They want it to remain authentic as Tonga first with others to assimilate to the culture and into the country on how it’s run. Rather than having other immigrants coming into Tongan land and making it into something else that isn’t Tongan anymore. Hope that makes sense.
