nothing , it’s just that Tongans don’t like some of the corrupt Chinese stores around the country

Because they come in and take up majority of stores and businesses for themselves settling in Tonga. I heard a while back they tried to push in and build a Chinatown: and a lot of the locals were getting uncomfortable in their ways of how they’re are paving through the nation. But for themselves. They want it to remain authentic as Tonga first with others to assimilate to the culture and into the country on how it’s run. Rather than having other immigrants coming onto Tongan soil, and making it into something else that isn’t Tongan anymore. Hope that makes sense.

Chinese people will give you something bad/low quality and wont care to make it right if youre not happy. Tongan people will do everything to fix something if they think they did wrong. Tongans are generous, helpful and expect to receive what they give out (respect). Chinese are all take take take
