Do you have any information about the teeth grinder having to use a mouth gard and have bad allergies that make it hard to breathe through and waking up with a stuffed up nose ?

Thank you, it is very interesting you have convinced me to rather get a nasal mask because the full face mask gives me the problem that occurs each year is the cushion silicone tearing. Maybe I am to rough or what but I am going to try the nasal mask.

Good for you Louis! As long as you can breathe through your nose, you can use a nasal mask. You may need a chin strap or some mouth strips initially to train your body to nose breathe if you find you're opening your mouth at night.

Thanks yea I have thought about it but I don't think that would be a problem the mouth breething stuff, I've noticed through the years I have adopted to breath mainly through my nose because of dry mouth. But thanks alot👍

@@louisbornman8829 No worries, even with the full face mask I still use a chinstrap so that I nose breathe through the full face mask.

I've only tryed the nasal cup mask basically just goes over the whole nose which is fine, get a little itchy at times at night and I have take it off scratch my nose and put it back on. I haven't had any issues with it. It did leak a little one night when I was laying on my side because laying on your side can push on the mask/harness holding it and let out some air if your not carefully positioned. I may possibly try the nose pillow option at some point. And of course I was thinking if you have plugged nose from a cold you probably aren't going be able to use nose pillow or nose mask without something to open up the nose like medicine to open up the nose else you have mouth breath as the other option.

Hello I bought a nasal mask that just goes into my nose and goes around my ears because I have my hair in updos and the other mask hinders my hair. Are these affective. You didn’t mention them.

Thanks for the video ! I'm debating on a full face mask . Due to side sleeping . I do have sinusitis and allergies at times . As well as think mouth breather when my sinuses bother me Do you advise possibly trying a nasal mask ? Then have a full face mask when needed ? Or suck it up and use a full mask ? I'm recently diagnosed and waiting on the full sleep report but will need a machine

After a home sleep study indicating mild-to-moderate apnea, my practitioner wants me to wear a CPAP. I have hip-length hair which (for the last 50+ years) I normally gather and toss above my bed pillow so I'm not encountering it during the night. I am a restless side-sleeper, rolling from one side to the other multiple times during the night AND have persistent nighttime bladder urgency that has me up to the bathroom 6 or more times per night. I can't imagine any way that a CPAP could be doable! Am I missing something?
@CPAPDirect2 жыл бұрын
Great question and thanks for sharing! OK so it sounds like if you're going to be wearing a mask, you'll need something that doesn't interfere with your long hair. You also need something that can be disconnected easily when you need to get to the bathroom and you're a restless sleeper. So for the restless sleeping side, I would suggest the ResMed N30i mask and poke your hair through the back so the back strap is under your hair line. (You could use a hair clip over the back strap to anchor it to your hair as well). The tube connects at the top of the head on this one and has a quick release so if you need to get up to go to the bathroom, you can leave your mask on and it simply disconnect the tube. You may well find as I did, that being on CPAP will mean that you don't need to get up to go to the bathroom multiple times at night. Frequent bathroom breaks are a side effect of OSA. Being on CPAP helps massively here. I am excited for your journey! If you would like to chat in person about some advice, happy to do that. Are you near a CPAP Direct store?

@@CPAPDirect I should have caught the accent! Y'all are neighbors to the north but too far from North Carolina. When I search your company name, one place locally does come up... CPAP Home Therapy, LLC, in Cary, NC. Are they an affiliate?

Just. thought for anyone watching this, I saw Louis's comment, re nasal mask. My own experience is that the nasal mask leaves red welts across my nose bridge, tried all sorts of padding. The full face mask no red welt or mark at all ( i would have thought the opposite ). Hope this helps

Hi Bryce always enjoy your videos and your replies to my queries from time to time. I know you like feedback so Some feedback for you, I use nasal pillows and usually goes well for 18 mths, seal is sometimes 20, lately 12-15. tried the nasal mask, seal 12-15 odd time 20, events for these 2 are anything from 1-3.5. Watching your vids finally tried the airtouch f20 full face mask ( I am nose breather ). results with silicone mask - seal 20. events 0.1. results with foam cushion one. seal 12-14 events around 0.5 I am also able to ramp the air pressure with the full face mask. The silicone one is more comfortable than the foam one ( weird huh ) I also get practically zero leaks. Always thought the full fac would have been uncomfortable etc, but very comfortable, also no chin strap needed. Hope this helps. cheers Brian

Thanks for your comments and analysis Brian. (Apologies for missing your message notification). Sounds like the F20 is the mask for you. Certainly excellent results and it gives you the freedom to breathe how you want to. Interesting also about preferring the silicone over the memory foam. Thanks again for sharing and being a fan :)
