@Lizz Bizz no for sure! My quince was planned like 2 months before my party. It was technically my sweet 16 cuz my parents forgot my og 15th birthday 🥴 so it was their way of ya know making up for it. I also bought my own dress & invitations.. Everything else was my parents.. that being said, since they were paying for it, I was not allowed to invite my friends, just family. Dont get me wrong, it was fun. I look back & wished i would have danced more with the people there celebrating with me, but when you're a teen youre insecure & it's hard to see it that way, at least for me it was. Also, I'm just not a huge fan of dancing lol

I actually got invited to my friend’s one once, and I must admit I’m one of the people who typically stay in the corner in any gathering, and as soon as she was done with her dance at the beginning of the event, she immediately pulled me to the side and sort of forced me to dance 😂

Gosh I understand why many de would liek that. But I'm sooo glad I didnt have that. In my country it was more an adopted tradition, not that important aa México or other latsm countries but very extended yet. The funny thing is that beetweb 13 and 14 I was insecure. But as harder a mom's friend tryed to convince me, I despised more the idea. Better a common brithday with actual friends and dear ones. She was devastated and to this day no one knows the MDF why. She was more insistent than my mom(who actually was a bit relieved). Someone have an idea what happened there??
