The best way to play an AA dd is to use the P button and turn off your AA, then when planes come into your spotting range(usually about 2.5km) then turn your AA on. At that short of a range there's no time or enough distance for the cv to drop you. If they do want to drop on you they have to do a full turn away, and turn back to you to get enough distance for a drop. In that time your AA guns have shredded the entire flight group. Then turn your AA back off with P button. Rinse, repeat. I should also mention that turning AA back off with P starts your cool down on the defensive fire skill so you'll get it back up sooner. If you master this technique, it is by far the most ideal way to DD in a match that has CV.

I used to be decent in my USS Kidd. Over 6 mil exp in that DD alone. WAS very active, even played in KotS one year. Stopped caring about it awhile ago. Haven't logged in in like a year now. Still like your vids though.

When you start a battle, your AA guns are unloaded. They don't load until a plane enters their firing range. That's why there is a delay on the damage ti the very first strike.

also I heard exchanging RB points for flags is a cheap option?

yeah but at least you can get it daily, i don't know about RB exchange, i'd rather keep the RB to buy ships, but if you have all the ships already i guess as a last resort, flags are trash and expensive these days

The answer is Dalarna! Even tho Ragnar on paper has better ones and 6.9 when Dalarna has 6km max range , the real difference comes when you hit that dfaa button! Even halland has better than Ragnar!
