Yeah I didn't like it myself, but found myself doing undergrad research with it. A lot of GNURadio and HackRF. Unfortunately I didnt get to get into it more because I limited in my last semester in time for things outside of my classes. You got any recommendations for how a recently graduated EE can get into that field? What kinda of job postings to look for? What skills to improve (such as Matlab toolboxes, hardware, software, etc.)?

I'm about 4 months away from starting my degree in EE and your videos have been a huge help in helping me choose this major. I was considering some other engineering fields even though EE has always stuck out to me, and this video just cemented my choice once and for all! Plenty of the subfields you explained already look so fun and interesting, and I can't wait to start taking classes on them so I can figure out which career to choose in the future. You did such a good job at explaining everything in an understandable yet informative way, and i'll definetely be checking your book out! These are really insightful questions. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know for sure, but for your second question I think the answer is there are many more layers of complexity behind Ali's quick overview. There are different ways of encoding many different signals onto one 'carrier' waveform, and then decoding them at the other end. Search frequency-division multiplexing.

Now the question is ; should I apply for applied mathematics masters or RF Engineering masters ? My only concern is that I don’t have a bachelors in EE and that if I get my masters in RF I will know just about RF ,antennas and comms and no so much about anything else so I’ll be kinda stuck due to not having a traditional EE route . I have to ask, what math classes do you lack in compsci? don't compsci majors also take calc?
@PCAMY
@PCAMY 11 ай бұрын
@@splinx1768 I was a music major before changing my major, hence why I’m just now starting math at a collegiate level. I also had no clue I’d ever try something like this when I was in highschool, so I didn’t aim for high level math classes. I understand I’m pretty behind but I’m very willing to put *a lot* of work in to get where I need to be. The thing with compsci is that the classes don’t require math prerequisites, so I can immediately start taking them. With EE, I need to have Calculus with Analytic Geometry to even start the classes, which is fair because EE is very math intensive. Because of that, it would take me much longer to graduate as an EE major, extending an already very comprehensive degree program. In Florida (maybe this is a country wide thing, I’m not sure) there’s a big emphasis on completing your degree on time. I still have to take methods of calculus, but I can start on the compsci classes before I get to that point.
@PCAMY
@PCAMY 11 ай бұрын
@@splinx1768essentially I’m allowed to take compsci courses as I’m catching up on math, whereas if I were an EE major I would need to get through a lot of math classes before I could even start the curriculum. I still will end up taking methods of calculus though. At my school the bare minimum for starting the EE program is calculus with analytic geometry. I was a Music major before switching to compsci which is why I haven’t taken any math classes until this point. I also didn’t have much direction in high school because I had a pretty rough start in freshman year. In any case, I’m 100% willing to put *a lot* of work in to succeed in math. compsci and EE are definitely fields that I’m passionate about. My school just cares about graduating in a timely fashion a lot and trying to get into the EE program would delay me significantly. I honestly wouldn’t care about graduating late if I could take that path, but I’m still extremely happy with this path.

Hey man I hope you see this I’m 17 and have been thinking about what to pursue. I’ve always been a hands-on person and I’ve finally narrowed down what I possibly want to do. Software engineering & electrical engineering is what I’m between. The question is if I go to college what should I major in? I want a major in what could hit these subjects since they’re in the same field. Would EE be best for that or Computer engineering? Because I’ve seen software engineering have its own course but I want to have both in case I want to switch. So I’m confused and Just wanna be prepared but I’m mad over thinking and don’t know where to start, I’ve been hoping to get books for software and math to get a start on getting knowledge on math. Which I really suck at.

I need help please. getting a Bachelor degree in EE can allow you to get a master degree in SWE or is it better just to start as a SWE major in college?

Bro, your channel is definitely a hidden gem! I love EE, and actually, I am about to make a hard decision, and I would appreciate it if you could give me your opinion. I was accepted at Texas A&M and UT Austin, and I plan to major in EE. In your opinion, which would be the best option?
@alithedazzling

really tough choice, I know A&M is the better school, but Austin is a growing city in tech. I would visit both campuses and go by which one feels right for you

@@alithedazzling Omg, thanks for your response. Texas A&M is better? I always thought UT Austin was a better for engineering haha I have visited both campuses, and I like UT because of the city, and I like A&M for the campus itself, so I would like to go to the best in academics for EE, so, in this case, A&M would be the best option? I really appreciate your help!

Hi, is it possible to take electrical engineering as a masters with a computer engineering bachelors? Because I'm incoming college student with BS CpE program (Comp Eng). And I want to gain knowledge more about hardware while having enough knowledge with software.
