I would go with E330 but that 30% battery life sounds tempting. On the other hand I am planning to buy a cameras and Home Base 3. Will this mean that battery life will be much closer since I will playback from home base? There is still build in chime but I hope it doesn't drain it as much. Am I thinking right?

If you use the Home Base 3 + E330, I think the battery life will be comparable to the S330. The built in chime will use a little more battery, but unless you own both and are intentionally comparing battery life, I doubt you'll even notice it.

I installed s330 and loved it. Only one thing that bothers me is my doors are recessed a little, and the frame is blocking the field of view on the walkway. I want to replace it with pretty much same thing but in 2 seperate devices. What would be a best choice? I ordered doorbell e340 and now I am looking for a smart lock. Probably s230 or c220. Not really sure what's the difference. So e340 + s320 would do the job? Am I loosing something (or gaining) in this setup vs s330 3 in 1?

Are you sure that the autolock feature only autolock with the door closed? So many youtube videos of the S330 doesn't say that. The Support article only say it does this for older generation of smart lock as well. I basically bought the S330 for this functionality over the E330.

Does it require the use of the chime, already have a eufy door bell camera that is powered by the wired, but would like a centered camera. Is the camera auto sensing or only when the door is rang etc?

The camera is auto sensing + triggered by the button. As far as the chime, there may be a way to disable it but im not entirely sure as I haven't tried doing that.

Yes, but when you account for the extra cost, you might as well just get the the S330 from the start.

I feel like the autolock without sensor could be dangerous on the e330. What do you think ?

Personally I dont like auto lock at all, lol. It's more of a convenience feature and I would never actually rely on it to ensure my doors are locked at night or when I'm going away. If I'm inside, I still physically lock the door by hand so I know without a doubt it's locked. Outside I'll use the keypad or app, but still try and open the door the door to check it ACTUALLY locked. Might just be me, but I'd rather check all the time than blindly rely on tech to keep my door secured. But between the two, yes the S330 with the sensor will definitely be a lot more reliable with auto lock.

Are the batteries identical? I see S330 batteries listed for sale but no mention of e330 compatibility on them.

There aren’t any videos on how to remove the battery on the s330 for charging. Is there a way to remove the cap?

The cover simply slides off, similar to how the back of a remote is opened. It's on the interior portion

Any friction on the bolt will cause it to fail so It sounds like your lock / door likely isn't properly aligned with the jamb. I had the same issue at first, but once I shimmed my door and straightened it out, it now works every time.

Every house has windows and thats 1000% easier than trying to mess with bypassing a lock. I'm willing to bet at least 95% of the time a house is broken into, its from force and not by messing with a lock
