Hello! I’m EPTX as well. I always thought start with a low 10 10 10 fertilizer first and then increase slowly until I get to the high nitrogen? Thanks for the tips!

Your initial application in Spring should be a balanced fertilizer UNLESS your basing your application from a soil test.

I typically like to separate our herbicides from our fertilizers. But I’m also all for using product you already have before spending money on more. Do you have weeds to treat as well right now? If so then yes by all means go head. Scott’s is a synthetic Fert, just make to read the label on your application rates.
