Can I make a suggestion? I totally understand the need to make content for your career- maybe try “let’s thrift an outfit for free” and you go to a thrift store, create a full look and you don’t buy it. You don’t have to buy it and promote overconsumption but you can still showcase your skills, why thrifting has so much to offer, promote a local business (if you feel so inclined) and why people should consider going to you for finding such great pieces. Another concept (that I actually prefer) could be also the same format but splice in footage of a few pieces you already own just to make it feel more organic and real. I think what turns me off is the constant purchasing on your channel rather that feels more tailored to you or another individual. Just as you explain in your thrift bundle videos, you should focus more on why you’re picking up the piece, whether or not you have anything like it in your collection, and what are some alternative ways to style the piece to make it more versatile. I hope you don’t take this comment personally-but I do think other people in the comments feel what I’m feeling-which is that this content doesn’t feel a ton more different than tiktokers that style fast fashion.. it’s just a lot of consumption with little to no thought behind it.. and if I’m a regular consumer, I don’t ever buy pieces I can only wear one way. I consider the multitude of ways it will fit into my wardrobe. I should add-not everything has to be versatile.. but when it isn’t, that should be considered a “special piece” that really deserves a moment. But if you’re just buying hundreds of pieces that aren’t versatile, that “special quality” is lost.

@@Julianna-515 no I saw that. I’m saying I want her to apply the same process to purchases-especially for her own collection. Because she does it in those videos as well as her style bundle videos.. I’ve watched a lot of her content and as someone that worked in styling, I find it very inspiring to see how she’s crafted a career for herself that doesn’t follow the typical stylist trajectory. Even if it’s overconsumption, it’s better to over-consume thrifting than fast fashion-but just barely. The real issue is creating an intention when you shop. You don’t have to be a minimalist to do that-you do, however, have to put some intention behind it. And I also understand that she shops to build some inventory and then selects the inventory after a style bundle request.. but she could even talk about the inventory she has created more and go more in depth about where the line is between procuring an item for a business and shopping for the sake of shopping.

I understand that it's your brand and daily content is hard to switch once you've already set a sort of routine to your videos. However, I feel like styling videos made out of items from your closet would be just as perfect. "Style an outfit with me" instead of "Come thrifting with me". Don't support over consumption!

she has said she spends a long time looking. that’s the secret. really look through everything. i find rly good things in thriftstores because i spend at least 2 hours looking. that’s if i’m trying to be fast. and idk if it’s just where i live but it’s not about what thriftstore it is, it’s about the chance that someone happened to donate or sell something to a thriftstore and someone just happened to find stuff they like. look through everything, it is worth it. and also even a better option in my opinion, ask family, relatives, family friends or your friends if they have clothes they don’t need. my family and relatives have so much clothes they don’t wear anymore just in their closets as well as in storage. you may get stuff for free from them if they want rid of stuff they dont need, and you don’t need to spend that long looking. spent 30 minutes in my grandparents’ storage room looking through stuff with my grandma and i got 4 pairs of good quality jeans, 3 cool tshirts, 2 sweaters and MY MOMS OLD JEAN JACKET FROM LIKE 1990. many of those clothes were made years ago. i was born years after the jean jacket was made and it’s in better condition than i am. fully reccommend storage room exploration.

A lot of thrift stores don’t have dressing rooms. It’s pretty annoying sometimes 🤷‍♀️ often they will have a return/swap policy where you can bring the clothes back within a certain period and exchange them if they don’t fit.
