Of all the features that haven't been added from this list, I would be most excited to see colliding clouds. Most people (myself included) turn off clouds because they get in the way by floating through large buildings and generally don't look that good as of now. It would be nice to have clouds that won't float through large structures and also match the climate of the biome as described in the video. I feel like it could also lead to some minor changes in how weather works where you might see more clouds forming in the sky when it's about to rain or storm.

Yes but a Scarecrow Golem makes so much sense to be in Minecraft of all games. We have a mob like Zoglin that attacks everything, so imagine how useful Scarecrow Golem can be for farms if he just scares away a bunch of mobs like how cats scare creepers (it will probably not scare every mob since that would be OP). One use in early game could be to scare away rabbits from carrot farms, zombies from your house, foxes from your chicken farm and wolves from your sheep farm.

Maybe they could reduce mob spawn rates in a few chunks radius or function as a pseudo-repellent for enderman and/or phantoms they'll still teleport and fly around respectively but they won't be able to grief you as much.

5:45 At least in Java edition, this is something you can do. With a datapack, you can override vanilla’s village generation and add your own village houses (or modify vanilla ones). You do need to build the houses in creative mode to export them into an nbt file, though.

id like to add a note about your designable village. you can easily put a villager in a boat and take him somewhere far, build a city, and let your villager use a bed you placed there. multiple villagers means they can breed, and iron golems will spawn as well as cats. you can easily make your own village.

All villagers are now attached to blocks that can be easily moved and altered so they did it make it possible to make your own villages. The village itself is sort of classified with the Bell item. Place a few villagers with beds, job sites and a bell anywhere and you get your own village that is indistinguishable from the naturally generated village for all gameplay purposes!

imo they could add game modes in the form of world customization options (like Editions). Ocean Only, Skyblock, UHC, etc. I'd be happy with challenging game modes that are optional either by using secret seeds like terraria (found in a secret library perhaps?) or by just adding them to the world creation menu. That kind of content would be perfect for trails and tales tbh and if there are still unannounced features that they dont plan on sharing until the update is public, i hope this comment's ideas are included

I’m honestly glad they decided not to do the animated doors…. It sounds like it would be a headache more than anything when you click the door and have to wait like a half a second or so for it to open. It would also be a night terror in villages since villagers can open doors. They can already slam doors in your face. So that situation would be even more drawn out as you wait for the closing animation, then the opening animation. I don’t know jack about redstone but I can assume it would break a farm or two if it… utilizes doors somehow? I don’t know if that’s a thing. Is this a minor thing? Yes absolutely. But animated doors? I dunno, it doesn’t feel very minecraft-y

Third-person is useful for seeing around corners relatively safely, getting a higher angle so holes in the floor (in the Nether mostly) don’t blend in, and seeing behind myself without changing direction.

I think I'd be most excited to see reindeer added to the game, mostly because they'd be pretty cute mobs. They could also give them some functional use though, such as dropping meat and being able to pull a new sleigh or sled vehicle.

I'd love to have reindeer in the game too. Besides all you've mentioned for features, I'd like to see drop items like antlers where you can place as decorations or even make into headgear. Who wouldn't want a pair of adorable/cool antlers on their head??? And there could be different antlers like the number of points on the antlers indicating how old the reindeer was. Reindeer could be reskinned horses for the winter biomes. I think they should go through and add a bunch of reskins into the game. Most mobs could use some variety after years of looking identical.

A cloud/weather update could drastically improve the immersion and beauty of the game. Imagine the sky smoothly changing from cirrus clouds to massive dark storm clouds. Not to mention that cloud collision would actually convince me to keep clouds on for tall builds. They could also use this update to add computationally cheap wind effects to tall grass, flags, and other blocks.

I would argue that redstone blocks technically count as vertical redstone. Sure, they don't go up walls per se, but they can be part of a wall and send a signal up that way. Also it's entirely possible when the badlands get updated with vultures and cactus flowers, they could add mesa temples along with suspicious red sand and the like.

I think the best idea for designable villages would be to borrow a page out of Terraria's book. In Terraria, if you want an NPC with a specific profession to stick around in your community, you have to build them a place to live with a workstation appropriate to their job. Minecraft has more or less the building blocks to make this happen with both villagers and wandering traders. What they could do is have a new Villager type called the pilgrim. Pilgrims would be a mob that would only occasionally show up in a player's area, and could settle and become a custom villager if the player builds them a specific designated house and workstation. It would be a great way for a player to create their own village if they're struggling to find some in the world that they're in.

Fun fact or not so fun fact depending on how you look at this. Minecraft originally was going to add vertical Redstone in the form of gears or coggs but for some reason they removed it. It was also before Redstone was added, but Coggs got removed and replaced by Redstone

6:36 the survival game mode was technically added. however, it’s not seen as a game mode, but as a mini-game. this was added on bedrock on [at this point] legacy consoles like the XBOX 360, PS3 & PS4, and XBOX one. i still have that version downloaded to my vertical xbox (idk the name for it they all confuse me) there was also an elytra mini game and i loved that one especially

I know that mojang is against the idea of seasons or tornadoes in vanilla, but I feel like a weather update could work well with the colliding clouds. They could add dust storms to the desert that limit visibility, blizzards in snow biomes that cause extra snow layers to build up and icicles to form, localized rain that happens when enough clouds gather in one place or are more likely in certain biomes like the jungle, and maybe some way to magically change the weather.

It is really interesting to see how many of the features they have either implemented, or explicitly said, "Yeah, that wasn't as great of an idea as we thought it was." It shows they are not just making empty promises. They are showing us a bunch of ideas they have on the drawing board to get feedback so they know which ones we want before deciding which ones they can do and how to go about it. It's a cool way of deciding what all goes into updates.

Technically, its possible to build a village completely from scratch without using another village. Assuming you count curing randomly spawned Zombie villages as not using another village, you can build a village from nothing. I don't get how people thought that would work otherwise in survival though? Were people expecting the player to be able to set a bed and limit the villager to using only that bed? Because the only other ways I can think of that people may have been expecting would be creative mode functions...

For 7, they really could have readded cogs with Caves and Cliffs to make vertical redstone. Just slap 4 copper ingots around a piece of redstone and get a cog which can then be placed on a wall, and if you want to live dangerously on the underside of a block, and then transmit redstone upwards.

Modded added most "features" but it's modded and comes with the a whole slew of other problems. Something like optifine and iris add "portable" lighting we commonly refer to as dynamic lighting but we take a performance hit java, I'm not sure if bedrock could be modded in similar ways but c++ is arguably more robust and maybe even better documented than java. So that sentence should really read "I'm surprised bedrock hasn't been modded with shaders or other advanced api/features".
