The solar charging on the fenix series for example is a marketing gimmick. It does not improve battery life in any significant way. I am being outside roughly 4-5 hours everyday in sunny conditions. It's solar panel is just too small to have any significant impact.

Is this possibly just your watch or do you think it’s a design flaw?
@lapadets24 күн бұрын
I don't think so. My solar works just fine, it is simply very limited in its capability. Besides, I base my opinion on experiences from other friends with either fenix solar or fr955 solar. Also the new Garmin watches ditched this very same solar panel and are installing a new one that covers the whole screen. I haven't tested one yet, but I am not very optimistic (might be wrong though).

Great video ! For me, I am a bit worried as Garmin start to remove features on their platform. Last feature: the objectives has just disappeared totally. Now if you want to set some objectives ( x times at the gym this month, x time running session this month, etc... ) you have to make it on a paper or on other platforms... What a pity. The Garmin Watches are really amazing. However, I will skip this release. I have some concerns with the quality of the new buttons and there is no useful new feature for me. I am waiting some AI to propose more fitness programs adapted with what I am doing and not only Run and Bike.

Hey, great video! I started looking for right Garmin device for myself and don't know which one to choose. I'm interested in simple activity tracking (steps, gym, running, maybe cycling) + recommendations (isn't a significant factor), period, sleep and stress tracking. Also, don't need messages on my wrist either, but Spotify would be a cool addition. Budget is up to 400$. I would appreciate your help!

Thank you and for everything you mentioned above I would go with the venu 3 or 3s. It is just over the budget you mentioned, so I would pick one up when they are offer. Plus they are a great lightweight and sturdy watch that you for everyday use other than just fitness. Hope that helps.

And the 165 doesn’t have gyroscope, if u compare the 165 to the Vivo active 5 which one do u think is better for gym and casual running?
@strengthsweatsucceed7 ай бұрын
Casual running they both will have you covered, it's a hard choice.... If you're not into competitive running and it's for general fitness then I would go with the one you prefer the look of. On the Garmin website there is also a comparison option if you really want to see exactly what features you will miss out on to make your choice a little easier.

Hi mate, is there any reason to choose the forerunner 965 over the Epix 2? You can get an Epix at a very good price in the UK at the moment!

965 comes with more specialised running features. The price was the main reason I picked up the epic 2 for myself. Looks great and covers everything I need.

Good question, as it's been awhile now since the instinct 2 launched so a new one has to be around the corner and you can pick one up for a great price. But I have no insider information. The gt4 is a nice watch, but I personally prefer the eco system of Garmin .

Is Vivo active 5 suitable for gym? Even tho it doesn’t have barometer?
@strengthsweatsucceed7 ай бұрын
Vivo active 5 is still good for the gym if you are not in need of elevation change tracking and focus on mainly treadmill runs. Other wise the 165 may be a better choice for that., but they will still do both do the basics of multi sport tracking for basic gym needs at this price point. Otherwise I would recommend the Venu 3 for the larger screen to work with..
