Which GMT is better in 2024? SteelDive VS Pagani Design | Seiko NH34 GMT

Steelsive has the correct bi rotational bezel. All GMT watches with a 24 hr marked bezel should have a bi directional bezel. It’s not a dive watch … it’s a GMT watch. The bi directional bezel will usually have 24 clicks to allow for 30 min time increments on the GMT scale. It’s not supposed to have a 120 click uni directional bezel nor does it need to have the same bezel action as a diver. I think steelsive have done a good job here and not many of these Rolex clonages have the correct bi directional bezel. Kudos to steeldive.

BTW, The Pagani Design bezel insert is Ceramic, it just looks like aluminum

@@ShortBetter You're actually right, I just read on their website (Pagani Watches) and they say it's a high-strength aluminum. I thought it was ceramic because I have Pepsi and Batgirl, they weigh the same at 146 gr. I also have a watch with a bezel insert that looks like aluminum - but I pulled that one from a bezel casing, and it was actually ceramic... my bad!

Typical Pagani they've rarely made a decent rotating bezel or good lume, of the two though I'd buy the Pagani! lol

I wish someone would make an homage of the older pre-ceramic era Rolex GMTs with the smaller numbers on the bezel. These look quite chunky but I would probably take the Steeldive just for the longer lasting lume and the fact it has the same colour lume on dial and bezel, the bi-directional bezel is also a really nice touch.

Hi there - Great Video mate! Now I actually own a Steeldive GMT and I love it! Big bang for buck . As I do a lot of snorkeling the 300M water resistance is important. It's also one of my most luminous watches - considerably brighter than my SKX and brighter for longer than my Doxa. I also prefer the 41mm to my 40mm Cronos GMT which is just too small for my eyes to enjoy. I get the feel of the GMT Explorer II without the big dollars whereas the Pagani definitely wouldn't give me that feeling. Even though the SD maybe twice the price of the PD what you've got to remember is that it's just $100 more and the specs and quality are well worth the extra $100.

That bezel is different from any other SD watches. It's bi-rotational, feels very light, and makes really awful sound😅

I have a PD-1639 (43 mm) and a SD-1953 (41 mm). The Steeldive cost around 15~20% more. I don't care about the bezel at all, what really makes a big difference between these watches for me is the lume and the dials. If I didn't have the Steeldive, the Pagani would be fine. It's a great watch for the price. But its dials lack brightness and the lume is so weak, very disappointing. I bought the Pagani because I think the Steeldive is a little small for my taste but it's a much better watch overall, except for the size. I wish they had a 43 mm version as the Pagani. At least with nato straps it looks a bit bigger.

I had the same Pagani, the cyclops was a hair out, and the Bracelet was faulty because the Pin kept falling out and the Lume was poor. If other Brands can offer Great Lume for the same price, why cant Pagani ?

@SlimDonni Well.. They always have poor lume. And the price seems to be ok, for the quality. In my experience, there are a few brands that can offer better quality for similar prices. And that's only for SOME models. Pagani probably makes the most of models among all brands. They go for quantity, not quality

The only GMT homage you can get with NH34 and bi-rotating bezel under 100€ is Oumashi. I bought myself Pepsi, Rootbeer and Rose gold. I'm quite satisfied with them...better than Pagani anyway. You should try them. 😊

Pagani Design = better (discreet) logo/branding Steeldive = better watch, worse logo I love my Pagani “AirKing” PD-1692(V1) but it have almost no lume, it didn’t last 5 minutes. Got an Addiesdive GMT (same problem was Steeldive, the ugly diver logo, should be just written “addies” on the dial) and it have amazing lume, the best I ever saw in person.

The ugly cheap clasp on the steeldive is a deal killer for me. Also, the hour markers on the steeldive are too small. Just by look alone on the wrist, it looks like the Pagani would be twice the price, no the other way around.

I bought a Paganii GMT and the 24 hour hand had no relatiobship at all to the current time and would spin arpund the dials mutltiple times when chang9ng the hour hand 12 hours. Piece of shat the worst of the worst of ohmages or should I say fakes. The idiots at pagani play dumb. Worst watches I have ever purchased for QC. May look good but IMO they just plain ole suck.

I have good news for you. You can return the watch if it's defective. That's life, things happen :) Apply for a refund if you order from Aliexpress. Take good quality photo/video, write clear explanation of your problem and they will return you the money, I'm pretty sure

Both have the horrid deep dish rehaut and are too thick
