It's a myth that Vaseline blocks pores. The processing gets rid of all the petroleum as well. We used to use it in the salon where l worked as a barrier cream. I wouldn't use it when colouring hair, whether with synthetic hair tint or Henna because if you accidentally get Vaseline in your actual hairline it acts as a barrier and it's likely the henna won't grab over it and you'll end up with grey roots.

Hi, I have ordered your products (MORR HENNA, INDIGO & ALOE VERA) to do my hair, but I'm sort of afraid. I have a lot of grey but do not want to go all black. What am I missing to get some color like a reddish brown with highlights or a brown base w/light reddish highlights. I really want something stylish and want to continue going natural without going to hairstylist for the look that I want.. I don't want to be locked into only black or all over red. You could blend it yourself. maybe section is by tones or use one color step and then go over with henna alone where you want more red. You can do that.

Hi khadija, Can I use indigo with henna to get a darker more auburn colour?? I know if you mix it about 50/50 it will be a medium brown so if I played around with 5-10% indigo in the recipe would this work?? I have been using red raj and cassia (80/20) for some time in my hair between using chemical colour. I now use permanent dye to touch up my roots and then use henna after, but I used to bleach my hair so about 3/4 keeps having a lighter hue (which I don't want - as I actually prefer the henna colour at my roots). I have reapplied henna quite a few times to just the ends and it is still taking a long time to get my ends to catch up with my root. So was hoping mixing in some indigo would work??

Instead of using Vaseline, I melt beeswax and olive oil and it hardens in the fridge. So easy!

I don't want to be red. It doesn't suit me, and mainly - my hair grows quickly and I'm already fed up with how gray growths shine from darker coloured hair within a week. I'm going to try wheat blonde, but I know it doesn't catch well. I suspect I'll end up going back to chemical paints.
