Fantastic! I really don't like taxes, especially when you have to file FIF, which is well and truly sussy thing to file if you don't know what you're doing. It's so sussy that I'm considering a tax agent going forward due to double tax from US to NZ taxes

Hi, do you need to worry about tax for Smartshares? I suspect Smartshare ETFs are listed PIEs, so we dont need to worry about taxes, is it correct? thanks

Hey mate, could you do a vid on investing in the ASX 200 index from NZ? I look at betashares a200 (coming soon), smartshares, and more... I want everything either NZ listed or NZ based for tax reasons and ease. Its relativly easy to just go buy IOZ but then I'm buying on the ASX directly and I'd prefer not to. How would you do it?

A quick search shows that betashares asx200 is not exempt from taxes. You might have to consider smart shares

@@henkhustle Thanks henk. Part of the issue is the smartshares charge tax at flat 28% PIE wich is not my tax rate.

There doesn't seem to be a ton of options when it comes to asx200. Maybe consider picking a few individual companies. Most of them fall under tax free agreement

These are not "International" shares funds -- two of them are limited to one country. Why not use the Foundation Total World fund and Smartshares TWF?

I picked those because most people automatically gravitate towards ones with lower fees and all the total world funds heavily investe in US companies as well 😁
