i agree with PDA in Finland "the food in Vietnam more healthy with more variety of vegetable", even Joel Bruner (live in Thai Lan for 10 yr) and his Thai wife...just went to VN, try VN food and he agreed that VN food has more variety of Vegetable then others...Vietnamese food also has curry...but mostly cook for only special events of the year....not much for public..

Thailand is great to retire but work wise you need at lease 200,000 THB per month to have a good life. The key is to get a job in a reasonable country which you like, build some wealth and then retire in a country that you love.

Disagree with 3. I'm from Ho Chi Minh city. The variety of food in Vietnam (HCM in particular) is almost the number one in the world. I can take you to eat different dishes for everyday. Foreign dishes are available in HCM, even the better version. And the food in Vietnam more healthy with more vegetable, food in Thailand more spicy.
