Which country is more democratic socialis 1:01:47 t Greece or Sweden, Finland or Italy? Was South Korea a capitalist dictatorship even as North Korea was a socialist dictatorship until fairly recently?

@@michaelhutchings6602 South Korea is far batter and was far better than North Korea even when it was not Democratic. Economic freedom is good.

If America and other countries didn’t embargo North Korea who knows what it could’ve become. You have to put everything into its historical context.

very little government spending is a simple transfer of wealth from smith to jones, like might happen with UBI. so instead of maximizing total utility, you are minimizing utility. because if jones, the taxpayer, had been allowed to keep his money he would have spent it on his most urgent priorities, maximizing his utility. but the bureaucrat who spends those tax dollars ostensibly on Smith, the poor person, has no idea what Smith's value scales are and it is unlikely that any public expenditure program is going to be high up there.,

Yeah that's pretty dumb lol. Utility like value is too abstract imo. Being materially better off in terms of ability to acquire or access needs is way more substantial. Someone may get off quite a bit of utility from being kicked in the balls because of a personal kink. Prioritizing that person's ability to satisfy that kink does not override the greater importance of providing a baseless level of guaranteed material needs for all, regardless of individual choice.
