Any bachelor's degree earned in the Philippines is equivalent to only two years of study in Canada when evaluated by WES, because the first two years of college study in the Philippines are equivalent to Grades 11 and 12 in Canada. Kahit meron na tayong K to 12 program, our curriculum doesn't allign with Canadian curriculum. So, pretty much all Filipino students in Canada who already have a degree from back home end up at community colleges. I don't know anyone who went from a Philippine high school to a Canadian university, unless they went to an international school. So, just a heads up: in Canada, college and university are completely different in terms of level of education. Only the top students can attend university, while average students typically go to college.

Not really, depending on the assessing body, I got 4 yrs nursing degree in the PH and got a 3 years bachelors degree equivalency in Canada. Go with iqas, wes most of the time will give u the 2 yr equivalency. pwede po mag masters here ang pinoy

papano po mag masters kung equivalency ng degree mo ay 2 or 3 years lang? And again, you cannot pursue a master's degree with a bachelor's degree. In Canada, only an honours degree is eligible for admission to a master's program. Di ko alam kung meron state-owned university ang tumatanngap niyan.

It depends on the school you went to and number of semesters you had. I got 3 yrs from PUP with 2 semesters each yr. Trimesters from big universities can get 4 yrs equivalency

if you want to go with the cpa program, pdd is better than the masters degree. You will need the prep courses for the cpa program

just a heads up, any degree earned in the Philippines is equivalent to two years of study in canada when evaluated. The accounting program in Canada is an honours program, which is completely different from a bachelor's program in the Philippines. In Canada, only honours programs can pursue a master's program, and it's highly competitive - only applicants with magna or summa cum laude honours are considered.

@@studyliveexploreca Sa IQAS naman lahat 3 years ang equivalency ng degree galing sa pinas, and this institution is not preferred by most top universities and community colleges in Ontario for assessing foreign credentials. Yong 3 years equivalency mo ng nursing degree ay di pa rin sapat para makakuha ka ng trabaho as RN, but your degree will be downgraded to practical nurse, which is only a two-year diploma program. Siguro yong centinnea college tinatanngap yong assessed credentials from IQAS.

@@meekopal2369 for accountants nkkpag MBA sila dito sa Canada may mga students ako naka MBA :) pero kc di ko alam anunin equivalency un ibig mo sbhn, is it for school, employment or immigration? Malaking tulong un 3 yrs bachelors na nakuha sa iqas before for my immigrafion. Ang ginagamit s admission sa university here sa Canada ay wes course by course, depende sa program na knkuha mo if may subjects ka naman lahat na need and meet mo ang gpa mkkpag masters ka here, mdami ng international students ang naka masters dito sa Canada pero depende sa program at dati mo school. Walang masters po s Centennial, usually universities po yan. Hindi mo need ng ECA sa mga community colleges. :) Ibang usapan ang nursing, kc regulated profession un, ddaan ka ng regulatory body, and assessment thru nnas - mostly nursing need mag bridging pa. Pero I won’t say na 2 yrs na équivalent tyo kasi may iba nkakakuha pa ng 4yrs bachelors degree equivalency depende kung san mo gagamitin un ECA db. :)

Hello Coach MC, i just started watching your videos, and they are all helpful. I was about to take a Masters degree in UNF in Mom. I was a bit scared whether i could pass this program. How hard it was since you also took masters degree. I took my masters degree here in the PH, but it was way back in 2016. im a little bit rusty 😂 and im not that bright (to be honest). Another question.. can i aslo do a fast track in my masters like in a diploma? Thank you in advance for your time.

Thanks for always watching - taking Masters is not for everyone you’ll have a maintaining grade of B or 2.0 in the Philippines, but it’s doable naman. probably you’ll have to cut down your working hours so u can focus on your studies. Hence, if you are single u dont need to take the Masters though if you not comfortable with it, just do the fast track - it depends on the program, not every program will have the fast track option. I did a fast track program by way.
