The woofer has more linearity, the subwoofer has more bass BUT because of that, the sound is very boomy in closed places, especially on large subwoofers, and in open places... it lacks that bass punch from 70 to 120hz that they give it body wings notes from 18 to 69hz, that's why the Woofer, being applied as a subwoofer (with a lpf) is much better.

Woofer - usually is louder, plays towards midrange frequencies better, good for open areas, has lightweight cone Subwoofer - plays better at low frequencies, requires a lot of power, sounds good in closed areas. basically them alone cant sound good. You need complete system to be able to play somewhere between 20hz to 20khz. Both has different applications

U must show that both speaker have the same wattage & impedance. U can't compare it because they're enclosures are not the same.
