TooTallToby, do you have some description or matrix for Tier level identification? Very interesting the criterias!

It's based on the total number of features required to create the model. More features = higher tier. Then there is a special "Toby Modifier" that sometimes bumps it up or down 1 tier, based on how "tricky" the model is.

Hi Toby, I love your videos and I practice with you every time you publish one. In this one, there maybe a mix-up in the initial information and some will get different results: At 1:22, at the bottom right you have Material and Density. If the Material is "1060 Alloy" then the Density should be 2700 and the correct answer will be 3045.0 g But if the Density is 7800 then the Material should be Steel and the correct answer will be 8796.0 g Interestingly, the winner had both on his screen at 8:08.

so which one is correct? by the name of material and the density? is it 3045 or 8796

Hi @robertw671 and @nadepp4699 Thanks for the comments: This was my mistake - the material is Aluminum 1060 Alloy and the correct density is 2700 kg/m^3 I just went into the video editor and added a blur to the video, and added a note in the title and the description. Some backstory: This was the first match of the 2024 SPRING OPEN tournament. The material was listed correctly on the print. The density was listed incorrectly on the print. This mistake was pointed out to me a little later in the tournament, during the livestream. I had to make a judgement call on the fly. Since Imants had cleanly created the geometry for the 3D model, and since Dom was really struggling with the RIB section of the geometry, I made the call to let the point stand. HOWEVER - If Dom had modeled the part first, the geometry looked correct, but he had used the density specified on the print, I would have had a REAL MESS on my hands. I would have had to retroactively award DOM the point, and depeneding on how deep into the livestream we were, this could have caused some chaos. So I was breathing a sigh of relief that I didn't have to backtrack - but it was a close call and a good reminder for me to triple check my prints (including the title block) before tournaments. Hope this all makes sense and thanks for the heads up! All ambiguity should be resolved on this video now (once the BLUR processes - which is on the youtube servers so it may take a few hours) - Toby
