Also, can’t really say the McFarlane Superman is as good as all the others if you had to customize it to be ideal to you and considering that the customize said you had to buy a two pack and a single release, which all adds up to about 60 to 70+ shipping and tax depending on where you’re from basically makes it just as expensive as either of the mafex Superman which are straight up better

I don't think Mafex beats him in all area other than articulation though. I like the McFarlane head sculpt and overall proportions better.

People seeing through their business practices. I once wanted the mafex hush Batman you are talking about…I own hush Jason Todd as hush from mafex as a matter of fact it sits in storage and I have no real use for it other then looking at it from time to time. It’s a great figure yeah but, if I want to get figures that scale with it from dc imma have to spend over 400 dollars… the Mattel dc essentials are not better sculpt wise, accessory wise or valuable wise…then Mcfarlane it’s just that simple. Like I said dawg… you collect mafex or mezco ? You’ll have 20 figures in your collection that costs over 1500 dollars and then you got Mcfarlane you’ll get 50+ figures for 1500 probably…it’s really not a competition especially considering the characters Mcfarlane is putting out. Scale can be an issue with Mcfarlane but there are fixes you can do that are FREE and they’ll be taller or you can exacto knife a piece and boom better than before… there’s none of that with opposing companies. It’s just the truth. Hasbro now charging 40 for garbage figures it’s a joke to collect that ish. Love marvel tho but hasbro only care about one thing $$$. I do appreciate mafex and mezco but, no one buys 10 of their figures for $1000+ and feels good about it meanwhile someone can order 40 figures from Mcfarlane for 1000+ like c’mon now ! And quantity isn’t over quality but Mcfarlane at least gives you new body bucks from time to time and tries to give you figures of characters you are never gonna see…

@brandofigure9 ай бұрын
I disagree with you at the end. It is an okay figure, but it’s still a custom, so it doesn’t count. I don’t want to have to kitbash parts just to have a simple classic Superman figure. I prefer just stock figure where I don’t have to pay extra $$$ for parts to make the figure better. So far, the best Superman figure is the one that came in a two pack with a xenomorph from NECA. No mod of any kind. It’s exactly how he is supposed to look, he can pose, has perfect colors, and has cloth cape with yellow S on the back. Mafex made some really good Superman figs, like Hush and DKR, but the colors look off, and body type and faces look wrong. Mezco is nice, but for accessories only, but the figure needs serious swap of the entire blue suit to make it better and it’s not worth the headache. So the very best one so far is Superman/Alien 2-pack from Neca.

completely agree with McF. Aside from having the freedom/choice to enhance your figures since mostly the parts are interchangeble, McF feels good in hand. Sure Mafex is poseable, but like SHF it feels wonky and feels very fragile (even if they probably actually aren't). Like when i spend time with my action figure, the inner child in me feels good playing around with McF figs.

Great points! I'm not blown away by Mafex. And Mezco has their faults and looks weird sometimes. I feel like they may more sense at that price point. Where as Mafex just feels like a slightly upgraded Marvel Legend.
@WeeaboohJones9 ай бұрын
Totally disagree with you on the Mafex Superman. It’s objectively one of the best 6inch classic looking Superman. Yes he’s the dark knight Superman, but he still has the classic Superman colors. We don’t have another 6inch classic Superman with that much articulation, that much presence, that many accessories, and that much paint. Put the hush Superman against the 20th anniversary cap and he gets dwarfed. I want my supes to be beefier than my Batman, not the same size. There’s not another classic colored Superman in six inch scale that compares. To say that it’s not any better than anything McFarlane has done is absurd. Especially when McFarlane’s darknight Superman looks like a burn victim (nothing against burn victims). Stand both of them next to each other and it’s night and day. Also kitbash doesn’t count. And even with your kitbash, somehow your Superman is still shorter than Wonder Woman.

You can edit the legs to scale better, customize to your liking, add and remove pieces of other figures to another. Quantity is not ever over quality though and you can say Mcfarlane has made new body bucks, sculpted so many figures, released characters you’ll never see mafex drop… my argument isn’t necessarily about just Superman but the companies as a whole..I own mafex Jason Todd hush ab there’s no way I’m shoveling out $1000 for the rest of the wave that’s simply ridiculous. They are cool figs but not worth the price point. @@fistfoothe title of the video is, “Which is my best Superman figure.” It’s not “which line is easier / more fun to collect and how easily can I go buy third party accessories and kit bash my figures.” The discussion is about which Superman offering is objectively better straight out of the box. Price is certainly a factor in that. The price needs to justify what you get in the box from the manufacturer, of course. But all the other things you brought up are irrelevant. They are relevant in creating a subjective preference, which if you prefer McFarlane supermen over Mafex supermen, that’s fine. It’s totally a preference. However, with that same amount you can start a sick McFarlane collection…wired capes and all it’s just not enough to beat what McFarlane is doing. Nobody collects mafex or mezco collects over 20+ of them and feels good about it let’s be honest.
