For comp purposes def use sharpshooting playmaker! Like u said u can rarely get mid’s in the pro Am and rec plus on park being able to speedboost then also have a 3pt is op. Screen are both effective on either build but if ur looking for comp and all around I would def say the sharpshooting play

Shot creator will dunk more frequently cause of higher dunking stats and posterizer badge, make more contested layups cause of relentless finisher and acrobat, can shoot fade-away shots, break ankles with hop jumps, post up in the paint and at 94 ovr unlocks playmaking takeover which makes him almost into a playmaking primary archetype because the ball control is as high as playmaker’s. Sharpshooting playmaker on the other hand gets higher ball control at start and is faster with the ball a little bit if you make them the same height and weight. Passing is much better and at 94 ovr it becomes a pure sharp when in takeover. The playmaker has a much higher skill gap and relies highly on shooting threes as the primary way of scoring but it’s the best build in 2K when used properly. The shot creator is a scoring machine but doesn’t have the X factor that sharpshooting playmaker gets at 94 ovr. I’m torn between the two builds myself but I did a little research and sharpshooting playmakers have the highest win % in the park out of all archetypes but that could be because most highly skilled players make that build - IDK.

Why is no one talking about the passing stats? One gets 80, the other 91. While the shot creator can get gold dimer at PG position, the passes aren’t as sharp and as on point as the playmaker’s. The receiver catches the ball way better and in a much better position with 91 passing.

I've been grinding on both the playshot and playsharp, the playshot is the better overall build because you can dribble, shoot, and attack the basket at a pretty high level, however the playsharp seems to have more fluid movement when dribbling and a more consistent 3pt even tho the 3pt ratings are basically the same for both, i still seem to grind on the playshot the most as it can do some of everything. Keep in mind depending on your height it can be bitch grinding to where you can speedboost with the playshot tho, good luck👍

I got both . Play Sharp not good until 94 . It’s all about that takeover that make people wanna use the playsharp . You can’t fade , mid range trash all you can really do is layup or shoot a 3 . My play shot can fade with ease of course , I’m shooting half court shots and I’m dunking on centers . It just depends on what time of game you play tho tbh . If comp pro am you need play sharp . In park play shot op especially at 99 . ( Check my last vid if you think I’m cappin about the half court shots with my play shot ) but Play Shot at 99 unstoppable bro . Way better stats than a play sharp and they not limited to either a dunk / layup or a 3

Playmaking-Shot is the better all around build statistically with better inside game, better mid-range, and the same 3 point rating based on how you make him, can speedboost and gets a attribute cap at 90 which you can get in no time, can unlock more athletic dunks with the 75 driving dunk rating, and has posterizer which actually works surprisingly very well for a bronze badge and I can attest to these things because I have the build. The only difference is basically saying if you wanna be curry or kyrie, flashy with inside game and a shot everywhere on the court, or pulling from deeper with handles and finesse, (playmaking-shot is better)

And Kyrie did finesse Curry in the Finals for a clutch 3, and the playmaking shot at shooting guard has 8 gold badges but point guard has 11, although you lose dimer gold, pick and roll maestro gold, and lob city passer I believe, the build at Shooting guard gets all shooting badges at least silver except for limitless, point guard for better team effort and for more efficiency of pick and roll, or shooting guard for more iso play

Both builds are good but the play sharp is ten times better. At 94 overall it is a game breaking build . The shotmaker is a very safe do everything build . You need a 90 ball control and up so you won't get knocked out of speedboosting all the time . I have both and I play better with my playsharp . Limitless on silver is a huge difference. Plus the play sharp only gets doubled barred from 92 to 93 . Shot creators in general are harder to grind .
