I am sooooo happy that this came up on my you tube today! I love to craft but have neuropathy that weakens my hand muscles. You answered my most important question! If these need less muscular effort that to me means. I can craft a little bit longer! I am sold and these are going into my cart. Thank you so much!

Very helpful. What strikes me is the similarity of the dome shape with the current rage for the makeup brushes & their variants

Ingrid, Thank you so much. I have struggled with the other ones for ages, and gave up and was so happy when the brushes came out. I just got these this week to try and will give them a try over the weekend. What I learned the most from you this morning is to hold the tool straight up and down, I did not know that, that is going to help me tremendously! Also, to not put too much pressure down. I am so heavy handed on most all things I do (I have a nerve problem in my arm and hand so feeling is very limited) so these are the two biggest takeouts from this for me today and I am so appreciative. TFS.

I’m a physical therapist and it makes total sense that if you are meeting more resistance on the surface with one tool that you would also tend to tighten your grasp on it. This contributes to the fatigue. I’m going to see if I can pick up the dome ones and give a go. Beautiful blending.... thanks for all the tips. My mother use to use rouge that color to put some pink on her cheeks. That was many moons ago! Thanks 🙏

Thanks so much for that insight Barbara! You'll love them, the drag is much less. Also try the makeup brushes by yoseng on Amazon, though if you want spot control, the blending tools are better. So glad it brought a memory of your mom to your mind! I just lost my mom two weeks ago, and your comment took me right to her makeup case and how she would do the same. Thanks for that! Brought a smile to my face. 😀😀🎨

I have lots of the flat foam pads, so I will use those up first, but I will be looking out for the domed ones when I need to replace them 😊

Great video as always. The rounded applicators make so much sense...I think it’s a must have. Very smart that they fit the older mini handles.! Love your cards too!

Thanks for showing us the difference in the blending tools. I might have to pick up those domed ones.

I will be replacing my very old but still work dye pads with Katherine’s line...and now the blending tools. The blenders are a cut above the others with that wonderful design.

How do you think these new style dauber tops compare with finger daubers? Just wandering where they fit in. Thanks
@jillduplessie50155 жыл бұрын
Good comparison video, Ingrid. I was wondering about the dome pads. The nice things about the ranger and scrapbook tools vs. brushes is you can get more ink on the paper. Thanks for this. I'll watch the stencil one soon.

Hey Ingrid!! Always love watching your videos!! :) I bought some of these new domed sponges when they first came out...and they're awesome!! I still use my Ranger ones, and also the sponge daubers. And I've really come to enjoy using the domed make up brushes!!! It's wonderful that there are so many options for making beautiful art!! ☺ Thanks for sharing this tutorial! ☺

I like the dome blender. It isn’t a new concept though. They have had the dome with plastic holder out for a while by scrapbook.com & another brand that Michael’s & Gina K Designs both sell that are rather expensive for just 1. I like that with these you aren’t having to throw out your handle when the sponge is worn out. The price is awesome as well. For 5 is what I have paid for 1 when you add the shipping to it. Great review Ingrid.

Great video! Do the dome sponges fit in the ink cubes? I hope so as I don’t want to figure out a new storage system 😉

These look great, I always loved the large daubers and these seem very similar

Thanks for the demo. The domed sponges look to be an improvement in blending for sure. How do they compare with the makeup brushes or the Picket Fences Life Changing Blending Brushes?

Linda Carreira - Yes I’d like to know the answer to that question too. Thanks Ingrid

Roberta S - thanks so much for that recommendation. There are so many options to choose from, and it’s hard to know what’s best for which technique.

Would you please do a cardstock comparison? And maybe what ink with what paper? I know my asking alot😉
@kimmer8235 жыл бұрын
Review of the different card stocks. There are some many! We can’t have them all unfortunately 😩.

What inks are best on what paper? For instance I think Bristol Smooth is best for blending. Not sure what is best for alcohol ink markers (I don’t have Copic - I have the imposters). Distress markers - not sure what paper to use. I know their is a perfect marriage for each medium. If it is something you might ever do, I know I would truly love it.

What are your thoughts on the tonic domed foam blenders?
@IngridBlackburn3 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried them, but I figure the originals are probably just fine. Ranger has come out with their own too. I think whatever you are comfortable using is perfect! :)

Thank you so much for this demo. I have never been able to master the Ranger blenders. I got the brushes and found them so much easier - but I have to try these Scrapbook.com ones. The difference between the two examples you did is amazing. Of course I've always been very impressed with your ink blending techniques.

Maureen from Australia, I use make up brushes but would like to try these. Agree with Natalie, don't think we can get them in Australia.
@IngridBlackburn4 жыл бұрын
Ya, I know you'd have to order direct from Scrapbook, but I do know from some of my Australian Patrons that they've ordered and said international shipping was reasonable. I use the makeup brushes too, and since these came out, I find myself reaching for them first for what it's worth. There's times when the brushes aren't precise enough, you know? But for mass coverage - like a whole card, the brushes are the way to go, in my personal opinion. Hope that helped a bit. 😀😀😀

@@IngridBlackburn It must depend on what you are buying. I'm in Canada and there was some stuff I really wanted that only Scrapbook.com had, so I thought I'd try them out. I had about US $100 worth of stuff in my cart and when it came to shipping, it was going to be US $96!!! It was light stuff, too. I about choked. Needless to say, I didn't get any of it. I didn't need it THAT much. I've ordered stuff from other US companies and shipping has never been that ridiculously high before, so I'll just do without. :)

I just don't think I have the patience to spend that much time blending. The domes do give a smoother blend.
@roymaws49824 жыл бұрын
nice, but I use makeup brushes which work very well. Maureen
@IngridBlackburn4 жыл бұрын
They sure do. I use the domed for specific coverage the most. The brushes don't do well in those scenarios mostly. I find that I can easily over blend where I don't want it. It's situational, I'm just so glad that finally I have a domed applicator. Cause it does make a difference. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😀😀😀

Ranger is high above scrapbooks. Scrapbooks start to fall apart into little balls all over your projects...
