I just bought a used Ibanez JSM100 after trying it along with a new Gibson ES335 and Heritage 535 last week. For me, the JSM100 played and sounded the best! Incredible build quality! It is heavy, but I only seem to notice it when I pick it up. Once I start playing, it’s not an issue. Love your playing and KZbin channel! Thanks, Johnny B 👍🏼☕️😎

I have the same JSM100 model, I can confirm it is a 335 killer! I agree it is on heavy side but once you play with a good strap it is so well balanced that you don't feel the weight as an issue.

Sounds like your JSM100 is a "Sensei" guitar: I have played a few high-end Japanese guitars with this strange property (and I own one) - absolutely truly perfect instruments with the little twist that they reflect so much on your playing that they also uncover all the little imperfections, they reward "good" notes with the sweetest tones and punish minor fretting trouble pretty harshly... in other words they teach you how to play appropriately, with precision. Don't worry, either it works or they lose this property after a while (IOW either you break them in or they break you in, not sure) and much of it could be attributed to a particular treble response (maybe the ebony fretboards, dunno) but I found it quite amazing that something like this exists. I think it's materials and the ambition and the attitude of the maker and hence not restricted to Japanese guitars but finding it repeatedly on those certainly fits the stereotype and gives me a (grateful) grin.

Hi Tina, I am one of your subscriber but never post before, so thank you for this video and all the others of course. I recently bought a Yamaha sa2200 from 2004, I love the neck (I am Ibanez fan but) I went for it because I thought the neck was very comfortable for me compare to others and the price really good for an MIJ Aud 1800 immaculate condition. The pick up is maybe a bit hot but still sounds good on my dv little jazz. I would like to ask you if one day you could make a video on “don’t forget “ Jim hall / Pat Metheny “ I would love to play the cord and solo of that tune, it is so beautiful. Keep on the good work! Always learning something with you :-)

Yes the differences in quality are small compared to the price difference. That's just normal for musical instruments. If you play everyday for hours every small difference becomes huge, so if you hear it, it's always worth the very modest extra cost. It's only the price of a very mediocre piano or cheap violin, ffs.

@tinajackel2 жыл бұрын
@christophegger292 жыл бұрын
@gerdpfeil Жыл бұрын
