I would be really curious to see the same test with F10 fresnel

What a legend!! The 600c ii doesn’t seem loads brighter in this real-world test. Seems like most of the ‘increased output’ is due to chip size and beam angles rather than actual power. Probably not suprising

how effective is the LS 600c Pro II compared to the LS 600x and 600d? I was planning to buy 1 LS 600d and 2 LS 600x for filmmaking purposes. Can I change them with the LS 600c Pro II, and will it get the job done? Thanks

My 300x has the same problem with color shift. Compared to my 600D at daylight they do not match

Great job !!! ❤ I’m currently working on a project and I’m aiming to achieve the best lighting possible for my cyc wall. Here are the details: Cyc Wall Dimensions: Approximately 4.88m (L) x 2.79m (W) x 3m (H) Camera Setup: Sony FX6 with a Sony GM lens 1.4, shooting at 5600K, f/1.4, 23.98 fps Goal: Achieve the best-exposed and evenly lit image on the cyc wall in a daylight environment Height: I have only 10 ft (3m) of height I’m considering using Aputure lights mounted to the ceiling. Specifically, I’m interested in the types of lights, their placement, and any tips you might have for achieving one unified and well-exposed vibrant cyc wall. What are the most effective light sources in this situation? Would panels be a good choice? How many sources would you recommend? The cyc is only 2 walls. Additionally, how effective is the LS 600c Pro II compared to the LS 600x and 600d? I was planning to buy 1 LS 600d and 2 LS 600x for filmmaking purposes. Can I change them with the LS 600c Pro II, and will it get the job done? Thank you so much for your time and help!

Definitely love the side-by-side comparison. Very professional even if does take a while to setup and really get the data correct.

Do you think the 1200x would be a better investment than this 600c pro ii because of the output ? Do you ever wish u had more output when you only brought any of these 600 aputure lights ?

1200X is the best light now for sure. 👌

Depends on what you need, if you're a videographer, a DP, a rental house, or an owner-op gaffer, and also what the rest of your lighting inventory looks like. They are different tools that fulfill different needs. If you need a bright, deep blue wash over your background, gels on the 1200x might not get you what you want. If you're lighting from outside, through a window, and you want strong "sunlight" streaming in, the 600C Pro II might not have the punch you want. If you're trying to own just one big light, that's a choice only you can make based on what you need the most right now. If you're adding to your inventory, you could consider getting both. I own a 1200D but find myself needing that AND something in the 600 range and have worked with rented 600C's quite a bit lately, so I may pick one up. Another way of looking at it - keep doing whatever work you do, and feel out where the pain points and limitations are. After enough shoots, you'll know what you're always saying you wish you had on hand. OR, if people are renting your gear, you'll know what most often gets requested that you don't have. That will inform you MUCH better on what to buy than any rando's KZbin comment.

@@AnotherCameraChannel What??? Yes in terms of quality and output but for one man run and gun situations it is wayyyy too big and cumbersome!
@AnotherCameraChannel2 ай бұрын
@@LukeSchaeferFilms it’s not *that* much bigger than a 600 really. It’s a bit heavier and the case is only a bit taller so moving it around isn’t too different. It would require a Combo stand over a C-stand so that’s true that that’s a more cumbersome item. However with the other new Storm lineup coming soon, there should be smaller fixtures than 1200, so buying any of these right now is probably a bad idea. Better to wait a little bit more and benefit from the better mount, better colour/flexibility options, better output etc. if the question is purely investment, right now 1200X for sure.

On paper, 600c pro ii should have a lot more output. I'm curious why it's so close to the i version... I was gonna buy one, now I'm not sure anymore, really on the fence on this one.

I believe the 85% brighter stat is in use with the F10
@dascene05 ай бұрын
@@AnotherCameraChannelthe funny thing is, on sidus link app on the illumination handbook section there's a bare bulb lux reading at 1m and 5600k, 600c pro II gives 21610 lux vs 22150 lux from 600d, there's no reading for reflector on 600c ii pro so I don't know what is going on with that information

get the 300c and a 600 D, perfect match

@@LukasStumpf I already have two 300c, a 600d and a 600x, I was just amazed by the idea that the 600c ii would phase out the 600d much like the 300c phased out 300d ii for owners (no rental usage)

The 600D Pro is the first 600D? 🤔
@habcast39785 ай бұрын
@@AnotherCameraChannel No it’s not. There’s a 600D (non-pro).
@AnotherCameraChannel5 ай бұрын
Pro was first, then they released the 600 non-pro. They are the same chip, same outputs etc. Just the Pro has Weather Sealing and more pro Wireless like Lumen Radio and it’s ballast is heavier because of it. From their website: “When we released the LS 600d Pro, we also made a promise to create a tool that was more accessible and would revolutionize the amount of output most creatives had access to. The Light Storm 600d is a perfect light for any demanding lighting situation you may encounter as a cinematographer or photographer.” I have both, they’re the same so no need to add it to this comparison.

Never use rgb lights, always gel for color correct
@dudepersonvids2 ай бұрын
That's not the best advice. I'd say never use cheapo RGB lights. Professionals have used RGB (or RBGWW, or more recently, RGBCAL or other variants) on high end commercial and film sets for years now with full color LED fixtures from Astera, Arri, Creamsource, Digital Sputnik, etc. Yeah, older bicolor Litemats notoriously need some G/M correction with gels, sure, but "never use RGB lights" is a bit silly in my opinion.
