Pehele Sarkari Bank o mai bhi logo ka khata nahi tha, Jan Dhan Yojna k bad hi penetration increase huwa hai. Before Jan dhan Yojna only ≈30% of the population has bank accounts, now it went upto 85+% within a fews years.

Jan Dhan Yojna specially Garibi k liya target hai. Jinhone aj tak Bank nahi dekha unke liya ATM ase ₹ 10K nikalna hi bohot bari baat hai. Moreover, Jan dhan Yojna is just one part of the JAM Trinity, which enables DBT. Also don't forget that because DBT the corruption has decreases drastically.

These HDFC & ICICI banks mostly operate in Cities but you can find SBI even in most rural areas. Private sector banks charge higher for debit cards but My 8 year old Union Bank debit card is free. But I also have a Free HDFC platinum debit card but have to maintain 25k monthly average balance. On the contrary, in Union Bank I don't have to maintain a minimum balance & have a free debit card.
