Well done! I have a Paradigm X15 in my family room set up. It is bigger than my favorite lounge chair! also use it as a lamp table. Your telling us that the 12" TW mostly out performs the X15? at a third of the size? Sign me up! The X15 is a formidable sub...destroys my room. For $700 CAD less, and a much smaller size, the TW definitely would have been my choice. Even the TW6000!! Great stuff, keep it coming!!!

The one thing that can't be compared between these two brands is the high level of customer service that separates SVS from ANY brand in the market (PSA is also excellent) e.g. asking experts their advice on settings, placement, connections, problem solving and warranty. I've called them on a few occasions on the equipment I'm using and how better to integrate and connect them and they did so without hesitation. What price would you put knowing if you have a question the company you gave your money to will pick up the phone and talk to a real person in less than 5 minutes !

You like your SVS great, but these comments you make over and over just makes you look like a fanboy. Aamir at Summit Hifi offers his phone number and has some of the best customer service I've experienced personally, just go look at his reviews. So I would say his customer service absolutely compares to SVS's. Competition for SVS is a good thing, you will come to realize that eventuallly.

@1FastGXP I already told you, Tonewinner is working with Summit on warranty. If you don't like it great, that doesn't mean you can spam the comments with the same comment about warranty over and over. FYI, Walmart is a retailer, not a distributor. FYI #2, the distributor for SVS in Canada handles the warranty service for SVS in Canada, and from what you stated, that is what you are against, so go after SVS Canada too 😉. I am not vested in anything, I have simply been giving the facts on a product that has better output than another and got sick of your spam comment, as anyone would. I never saw you complain when I recommended SVS products in my reviews. Now I showed you a product that performs better and you got salty...so who is the vested one? The facts are the Tonewinner out performs the SVS products for thousands less, and it has 3 years warranty on driver/amp and 5 on the cabinet. You just want to argue semantics about who is supplying the warranty. Then you misunderstand what a retailer is versus a distributor. You need to relax and take out your personal vendetta elsewhere.

The processor will NOT affect the frequency response. The room calibration was not used, it's the raw capabilities of the subwoofer until it compresses.

In my region the SVS PB2000 Pro, the Tonewinner D4000 and the Klipsch RP1400SW are priced pretty much the same. Would it be at all possible to have a comparison with the new Klipsch subs ? They seem to have taken subs seriously this time around, so they might be worth investigating ! Thanks again ! 😉

The roll off of the SVS above 40hz doesn’t look right to me. These are pretty linear subs well over 100hz. It almost looks like you have a crossover/filter enabled somewhere in the chain. If it’s a Denon/Marantz AVR I’ve seen results like that if you don’t raise the lpf to max before sweeps. Or maybe there was a low pass filter on the SVS dsp? Can you double check?

There was no DSP, but I agree the roll off doesn't look right. These are old measurements though. I would just assume they can go flat across, and ignore the roll off.

I typically choose value over pretty much everything else, but in this case, I'd have to probably stick with SVS (maybe outlet deals to keep the price:performance ratio in check). They replaced a failing amp for me on an out of warranty sub I purchased used, and also sent me an amp for it's twin as a free upgrade (so the amps matched). I've never had a company do something like that. It looks like Summit charges a 20% restocking fee on returns (just something to keep in mind). Also, the logo on the SW-D6000 on Summit's website is crooked. Not really confidence inspiring......

I haven't heard the Starke SW15, so I can't give you an answer based on experience. All I can speak on is the D4000. For the price, it has AMAZING performance. For the price, the D4000 has stellar sound quality also. I believe you would be very happy with the D4000 if you do decide to use my link to purchase them.

I could blabber further on about my evidence but I haven't really done the experiments, but I when I do look at the build quality of many car subs I've seen I'm just like holy shit home subs with that level of action are WAY more expensive! I've never done test on them to give you a true scientific answer

My understanding , all ports are open on tone winner.... On his other review on the 4000, using another mode (he used normal here) actually gave you lower bass😊 with little cost on output.

On par with SVS subs when it comes to sound quality. I stated that in the review of the subwoofers, but keep in mind that is based on memory of the SVS subs. Because I don't have them in my setup to do A/B comparisons.

Hi, I had almost booked a pb 2000 pro to go dual and then I came across tonewinner. Now contemplating to either go dual pb 2000 pro or get one of d6000 and use it along the pb 2000 pro n see how it goes and later sell the pb for a dual d6000. What are your views on that? Just a bit skeptical bout audio/bass quality and seems too good to be true that it outperforms the pb16ultra. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks.

My understanding is tone winner supplies the dealer...and Dealer directly determines warranty. Summit hifi is north America distribution , and any purchases thru them are 3 years driver and amp, and 5 years cabinet.. I have personally purchased many things from summit hifi, and even tone winner amps and the 15" 6000 sub x2.. And even svs.. Aamir at summit has always taken care of me and customers.. Even outside of svs warranty, Aamir still took care of me.. It's all about the delalers..

Either that, or SVS is pocketing A LOT more money 😉. I can tell you right now that these Tonewinners are underpriced and will go up to reflect their ACTUAL value. SVS has a lot of amp and driver failures, so the $5000 doesn't buy you any more reliability. Trust me I talk to retailers about them all the time. The Tonewinner sub reliability is yet to be seen, but I doubt it will be worse than SVS. But they have warranty to cover you anyway.

I would agree with you if you said they were known for great customer service, but reliability is a different story. They truly do have great customer service. But I know more than 1 dealer for SVS, and it isn't uncommon to have to replace more than 1 driver and/or amp on the SVS subs before their warranty is up. I was just talking with a dealer the other day, and he had just replaced the 3rd amp on the same SVS PB16 Ultra. The downside is that this amp was now outside the 5 year warranty, so the customer had to pay about $800 USD for the replacement amp. For us Canadians, it will now be around $1000 for a PB16 replacement amp outside of warranty. I guess what I am saying is that from what I have heard from dealers, SVS aren't the most reliable sub, but at least they have great customer service for the 5 years they are under warranty.
