Allah forgives all the sins including Shirk, if you repent before your death.

If you repent for any sin before dying (which includes regret, striving to leave, and not returning), you are forgiven. If you die in a state of shirk, then Allah is *guaranteed* to hold it against you. He doesn’t mention that guarantee for other sins. This is where the difference is, and Allah knows best.
