If 99% of the American workforce only did their job 11% of the time, we would be out of a job immediately….when congress does it, they just “serve” another term. What a joke
@smorris281Күн бұрын
I have sympathy for members of Congress and Senate who are suffering chronic medical conditions, but if it’s keeping you from voting long term and serving your constituents, then you need to step aside.
@kentondickerson23 сағат бұрын
I think that the problem would be that there would have to be an election to replace them. By the time candidates could run and the election was held, their term would be up.

Yes , use standard business rules. For them a doctor's visit would be easy compared to most Americans getting into a doctor's appointment book.

Why has it taken this long for journalists to report on this on a scale that will reach the citizens? We've had a congress in this country for over 200 years, and journalists have existed along with it. It seems that journalists don't care about providing news to the citizens or holding our elected officials accountable any longer as long as they continue getting ever increasing compensation.

The press corps protects these people like Biden up until the cat is out of the bag and run away. Only THEN they do their about face and report on it.

I was thinking the same thing- why isn’t this on the MSM, including fox
@charlie-qh2llКүн бұрын
@drowe2 I don't know. But our current president's press secretary does way too often say that asking questions is dangerous. That might have something to do with it and the general direction journalists have gone over the decades.
@judybrowdermoss2533Күн бұрын
That is congress responsibility to correct this miss. Journalists don't know.

Right. Vance should have resigned when he became Trump’s running mate. Same goes for Biden when he was Obama’s running mate. Running for re-election is also no excuse to miss votes.

This is similar to Kamala’s disappearance to Hawaii after losing the election like she no longer had a job to do.
@judybrowdermoss2533Күн бұрын
I disagree with you. Kamala run for office day and night. I pretty sure her health suffered. She needed a vacation after a lost. That different than just being missing in action. They know we're Kamala was. Get off of her. She is out in a month. These congress members are their for a job.

@popsandmajonestikiparadise3889Күн бұрын
Michael Kent Braun (born March 24, 1954) is an American businessman and politician who is the governor-elect of Indiana. A member of the Republican Party, he has served as the junior United States senator from Indiana since 2019 and previously represented the 63rd district in the Indiana House of Representatives from 2014 to 2017. Braun was elected to the United States Senate in 2018, defeating Democratic incumbent Joe Donnelly.[2] He was then elected governor in 2024, defeating Democratic nominee Jennifer McCormick and Libertarian nominee Donald Rainwater.
