...leaves out one of the best discs ever made - THE ROC! With that said, I'll put an Anubis up against any disc on this list. People also need to remember to stick to what works FOR THEM - not for Caleb. We all have different styles. I guarentee you the Origin isnt my longest distance mid-range.

No contention before I see a Westside Warship sailing over to those woods (especially a tournament or revive plastic one). DGA Rift also goes far I've heard(and it looks very similar to warship so...) also I might have to grab myself a buzzz ss, sweet looking flight that I'm missing. Thanks for that!

I'm a Discmania fanboy from way back... But at the start of my disc golf journey I picked up my 15-20 molds from my local Walmart. The mid-range I could always get my distance from was a Wombat3 in either DX or Champion plastic.

@@curtisridenour feel is a big deal, it's why i don't throw overmold discs. I don't like the feeling of two different plastics. I do like MVPs single mold discs (mint mustang, taco, and lobster) and the total eclipse overmolds.

RPM Piwakawaka would have been fun to see in this video! Also, it slightly breaks the “6” rule in Flight Numbers, but a Lat 64 Opto or Gold Core would have been great too! It’s still definitely a “mid” profile shape.

Great video! I actually guessed Origin for the furthest flying. That thing is much faster than people think. And thanks to Caleb for killing it out there, takes a lot of power and consistency to still send them with such force after 200 throws.

Great video, super appreciative of these FNDM videos, super informative and your comedic timing only gets sharper and sharper 😂. Also, Caleb's "For the bloops!" had me giggling. These videos must be a TON of work to produce, so I'm super grateful for them! As for future videos for this series, I'm personally curious about discs with the 7/X/-2/1 numbers and how they stack up! There seem to be so many and they're all seemingly touted as "beginner friendly". What's more, I throw and love my Axiom Fission Rhythm and am curious how it stacks against its sibling plastic versions (prism neutron, neutron, etc) and other 'MVP cousin discs' like the new TSA Nuance and Streamline Drift. Also against classics like the Innova Leop3, IT, Westside Seer, etc. In other words, I'm curious to see which reigns supreme for the understable 'beginner friendly' fairway slot. Thanks again!

Yes, please. Distance competition for 7/x/-2/1 would be great since with my limited arm-power these have a potential to be my farthest shots. And with DD Maverick included since it's official flight numbers seem to be little off.

Missing quite a few mids tho...Innova's Roc & Pig for speed 4s would've been nice to see. Doomsday Disc's Frag is another hilarious one. FWIW, I managed to find Exel Discs Kanto & Havu on sale which feel really nice to my hand, but are also quite obscure.

Love my Hex-Alotl ! one of my favorite straight-flying discs that ends mini left at the end. And now I don't feel bad that I can't throw it further than 300 feet. No matter how many times I throw it - my max is 300 feet with that disc. Nothing but consistent!

In my experience in slower discs hand feel can make huge difference in the distance you get. Some discs just give you cleaner release and extra distance. There is so many reviews of M4, emac, buzz etc that say it flies just as far as you fairways. I have thrown all of those and for me it was Berry that gave extra 30 feet for midrange. But yeah great job as always and love the comparison videos!

I wish you had a Fission disc in there. Clearly the chemistry between the thrower and the disc is a key factor to distance. Not only did some solid discs underperform, but the 380ft rip with the Pyro was way more than what I would've expected. I can throw a Hex that far but I can barely flex the Pyro to 330.

What a coincidence. I was throwing all my midrange at the football field on Tuesday. My Meteor was consistently my furthest flying mid just shy of the far upright at 350ish feet. The buzz, mako3, drone, pyro could not keep up all less than 320. I definitely feel that hyzer flip line for me is was flying further than any of my anhyzer flex lines with my more overstable discs.

Origin is a good replacement for a straight to understable roc and they don’t flip over too much on you (arm speed dependent of course). Great disc when I lost my beat up roc.

Right now, you can get a L64 compass in base, opto, opto ice orbit, gold, gold ice, and frost plastic, and I think it’s been made in opto x and recycled too. That’s my main midrange, have it in 3 plastics, would like to see you throw the other 3 so I can see if I need more!

Divergent Max grip UV felt cheap at first but beat into a really nice plastic and surprisingly forever flies my longest mid-range thrown on steep hyzer

The Wombat3 is the most aerodynamic midrange in Innova's lineup, and should be thrown in the next midrange distance contest. I'd also recommend the Manta and Stingray, which also should fly far for Innova.

The first one I owned I sent to Broderic and he did a comparison on his channel. I bought another one and it's in and out of my bag now. The sharp edge and profile of the disc just allows it to fly farther. I'd say it's a speed 5.5 disc, personally.

My guess before seeing thr last disc would be a Pathfinder. Having tried most of the discs shown here, for me it consistently goes the furthest. Quick edit after seeing the last disc - my Origin in in Neo plastic and although goes further that most other midranges I own, still doesn't outdrive the Glow Pathfinder. Might just be the plastic, as I had a few mids that fly completely different distance just because of a different plastic. Would be fun to see a video on how different same molds (could be the ones that worked the best here) fly in different plastics and what distances they reach.

Nice video! A disc that COULD beat all of these is the Streamline Echo, a monster of a mid. Would also like to see the Discmania Method (goes very far on a slight anhyzer) and of course the Discmania-made MD3 For good measure, also add a ROC, ROC 3, Lat 64 Compass, Lat 64 Trust, DGA Rift and MVP Reactor+ Matrix :)

I own a lot of these and yes, the Origin is probably going to be the longest mid for anyone that can control it. OTOH, I have to feel like something went wrong with the Meteor, as it should have been right up there or a close second place. All of mine are longer than all of my Detours.

What about a Fission Hex? It has a Glide of 5.5 where all other hexes have a Glide of 5. At the very least the hex in neutron should have been tried.

I thought about the Origin the whole time. It is my farthest flying midrange as well, not my most reliable though. But it is such an underrated disc I think and not enough recommended for beginners at all.

I also throw a Gote, they are very inconsistent over runs far as I can tell. I have a dark yellow one that flies like a dream and a white one that flips over like a roller makes no sense.
