Today I get to share with you another bread making video and I'm going to answer the question, which mock mill should you buy? If you're choosing to make your own bread, then we need to know how to mill the grain. And that's what we're going to talk about today. So today, the biggest question is, should I buy the Mockmill 100 or the Mockmill 200? These are both the entry level mock mill machines. And they're both fabulous.
Now they're both made in the same casing. And this is like I believe the numbers like 68% plant fibers used to make this casing so you know you're not getting some plastic piece that's just gonna fall apart.
Plus all of the mock mills are made in Germany. I've used this for a couple years now and it does a fabulous job. So if you're baking one to two loaves of bread a week or you're just milling flour and maybe two to three times a week, then this mill is perfect for you. It's going to be the lowest price of all of the mills we're going to talk about and it does a fabulous job. So on all the mail's realize you have a 30 day guarantee, depending on how much you've used, it depends on the refund that you get.
But with all of them you get a minimum of six years warranty. Okay, that's excellent.
So the mock mill 100 is gonna give you a six year warranty, and it's good for people who just you know, I'm going to make one or two loaves a week and you're going to be satisfied with that. It will do the job for you. It will work hard for you and you will be blessed.
The mock mill 200 Now that's where we're upping the game a little bit A little bit more investment of your money. But what we've done is it's going to give you a higher power mill, it's going to give you a higher power machine, same construction, they all have the same corundum, a ceramics stones as new, it's gonna be hard to get that out. So this is a 360 watts. Now we're moving up to a 600 watt machine. So it's going to mill faster without heating up the flour.
So like I said, it's not going to heat the flour, it's going to do a great job, and it's going to mill faster. So hence, you have the 100 g per minute, and this is the 200 g per minute. So you just have a faster milling process. So that's basically the only difference between the 100. And the 200 is the power of the motor.

I recieved my Mockmill 100 from your store a few months ago and absolutely love it!!! ❤️ It is very simple to use and milling it a second time makes the flour incredibly fine. This is our first mill and we are baking from fresh wheat berries all the time now. 🙂 I didn't remember that it comes with a 6 year warranty. Amazing! Why is it important to grind the grains at a low temperature if they are then baked at a high temperature?

It may matter for those milling to store the flour for later use. The best time to mill is just before baking. Once milled, grains will lose up to 45% of their nutrition in 24 hours due to being exposed to oxidation, and in 3 days, up to 90% loss of nutrition. Now think about how long flour has been sitting when you buy at the store! These facts convinced me to start milling grains 9 years ago. For me, milling is just another part of the bread-making process, and hardly takes a couple of extra minutes, and well worth it.

I cannot eat wheat. My husband can eat wheat. I am assuming that I would need to buy two grain mills so that I can mill gluten free grains without cross contamination. Do you agree?

Get creative. Milling your own wheat is a money saver. I mill once weekly, which means I could feasibly co-op and split the cost with 4-5 other people. Over a year, each person would “save back” the money they invested in the mill, and have more money in their pocket each month, thereafter.
