Still the best idea for modular accessories to this day since you don't have to use Bluetooth. Shame that Motorola pulled the plug after the Z4. It's still a fresh idea that still turns heads.

Agreed, it was ahead of its time and they should have made a Z5! Apple is trying to start something with MagSafe, but what does that give you? A stick on "wallet', and charger that isn't truly "wireless" because you have to manually detach it.

Yes, pin wear can cause an issue with Mods if it gets too bad!

The projector was and still king! The camera has had mixed reviews but I think it looks premium. Before my z4 was destroyed I always turned heads with it. Amazon also has a speaker is loud but the jbl is better sound. Overall I’m thinking about going back to it. The problem with moto was not giving it 4 years updates. Moto makes all these crappy phones they should just keep this one around and those mods available.

Yes, love the projector! I wish more mods had come with their own storage bag like it did. I acquire the Amazon Alexa speaker mod shortly after this video, I hope to do a comparison soon. Moto still makes some good phones, but I do wish they'd continued with the Z5.

I remember seeing a commercial for this phone when i was a kid. It was a shot of the camera mod being used and the phone was a neon yellow. A few years later when i was allowed to have a phone, this is what came to mind but i couldnt remember that brand or name. Seems ive only found it again after it was discontinued.

Nice! Just remember if you use Google Photos "high quality" you're going to lose much of the benefits the lens provides. You'll need to use another method for backup if you want to keep the quality unaltered.

Unfortunately no, Moto Mods only work to the Moto Z series of phones: Z, Z Play, Z Force, Z2, Z2 Play, Z2 Force, Z3, Z3 Play, & Z4

@@Aran.Tech.Television battery is still fine. I've got the turbopwer and the free battery moto mod still in great condition. My mods collection consists of the 2 generation jbl boost, projector, camera, 360 camera, wireless shell and 3 style shells.

Im still daily driving the Z4, I used to have the moto folio case, it was as bad as it sounds. My personal favorite is the Alexa speaker because I like my loud music, I wish you would've touched on the 5G Moto mod though

Thanks for the update! I wish i had the folio case but I can't find it anywhere. Just got the Alexa mod so I'll try and review that soon. Mine is not the Verizon version, so the 5G mod would not be as useful to me, but I'll probably mention it in a future video about batteries & charging.

Can't go wrong either of those! I'd recommend the Kate Spade Wireless Charging Pack, it's one of the least expensive ways to add wireless charging to a Moto Z!

The battery is actually 3600 mAh and lasts a good while. Plus many of the mods have a built in battery.
